Having reached its destructive peak, the pirate storm abated, leaving the wreckage of many destroyed merchant ships drifting on the waves, mixed with the dead bodies of their careless owners. Those who skimp on their defenses sometimes pay double — with their purses and their lives. Perhaps the others will learn the lesson and hire stronger mercenaries next time, or they might even scrape together enough money to protect the Empire's illustrious Lords and Ladies. It remains to be seen who the sea will show its fickle favor to then.

Lords and Ladies! The guards report that after the successful measures taken, there is no longer a pirate presence in the coastal waters of the Empire, nor in the walls of the local taverns.

Those who worked in cahoots with the pirates and managed to kick up a fuss off the coast of the Empire have received a gift from Red Beard, as promised, along with the following message:

"Shiver me timbers, Captain! You landlubbers never cease to amaze me. The catch you lot brought in might not be quite like in the old days, but much better than what those Flea Sails scoundrels are getting. That’ll teach ‘em who's still in charge in these waters! So, as promised, here's a chest of gold and a few pieces of some thingamajig. No clue how it got into my holds. And a small gift that’ll come in useful at sea. Don’t mind that it’s cursed. Me, I don't believe in superstitions like that. Been using the same for years and it’s never let me down.

All those who managed to loot even a little silver can now receive their reward in gold! The amount depends on how much silver you plundered and your combat level. Make sure to claim your gold here.



All those who looted 4,000 silver or more have received from 1 to 10 parts of Boots of Fear, depending on the amount of silver plundered.
