Authorhow to break a holy knight's castle?

My troops are all dead before approaching the wardens and can hardly do any damage to the wardens.

Elf in general is quite bad for castle battles I found, mostly because your shooters are nerfed (about 50% less damage) due to the walls, and it's weaker still because you faced a defensive holy knight, which is quite tough to cut through, especially when your numbers are reduced so drastically by the time you get there.

A fair bit easier than yours, but you can see I took avoidance talent, a cloak as well as using evasion talent from my patriarchs. If you really want to do holy knight castle (and other castle) as elf, you should probably take mass evasion talent.
Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried the mass evasion. Lived a bit longer but still could hardly break into the castle. My dragons are the only one that can sneak into the castle and the rest are blocked by only 10 knights. :-(

My dwarf is still level 5, maybe not ready for such a WG fight yet. I think I will skip the holy knight castle WG fight from now on. Completely no hope.

Just blind luck I guess, some battles are easy, some are hard. :)
For castles WG battles I would always switch to a melee based army rather than a ranged one.

As I recall in the castle event which these battles stem from there were a lot of people going for defensive set ups, so you may want to consider that (though I have never needed to)

As a Dwarf I could usually deal without changing anything, but treating master spearmen as a melee unit, and patriarchs just for evasion

As a wizard if I thought it would be tight I would remove gremlins and magi down to a minimal level (enough just to take first volley as bait), and then up gargs and golems.

As a classis elf I think I would up dragons to 4, and drop bows in favour of more sprites + efk etc. Keeping enough anchorites for stone.

Tactics talent as an elf may allow dragon to hit on the first turn, though they would be quite isolated (perhaps worth it though for a Holy Knight)
Just tried 4 dragons + max sprites + efks + mass evasion. Didn't work either :-(
For any castles as elf I think it's best to rush melee. Have bows for bait and anchors to stone. Break gate if ballista is under control, otherwise walk in through any broken wall. Rush to enemy shooters. Of course mean while use dragons to damage shooters if possible.
