Author | Stalker discovered and dragons didn't move |

combat chat explains everything.
The question is why did this happen?
Is it a bug or am I missing some important concept there? |
I guess you couldn't move them due to stalkers being there (as you guessed?) I think they are only discovered if you put your dragon next to them, since they are flyers. |
Once I made the same move using fortune ginies.
At that time they did hit the stalkers.
So I guess, it doesn't matter if the attacker is a flyer or not.
What say? |
And yes, you must have noticed.
I made a similar move with dragon next time and drags did hit stalker this time. |
for Bheem:
I think it has to do with the placement of the rock on the battlefield.
In the first turn, you tried to place the dragon on top of the stalker. This in itself would not prevent the dragon from moving (I just tested this with a flyer in my own battle).
Because the dragon had to move diagonally, it would have stopped on the four squares where the rock is. Because it can't stop on the squares where the rock is, it just doesn't move at all and the stalker gets discovered.
In the second turn, you hit the stalker as normal. |
Topic moved from "Queries and help" to "Combat problems". |
I've moved it to this forum section, because it doesn't appear to be functioning logically.
In my opinion, it should function similar to the royal griffin battledive. Where there is no square to land on, because it is blocked by a creature or rock etc. the flyer should move to a random available square next to the target. |
It already happened to me in the past with genies, they would not fly to the stalkers and just reveal them.
Later it happened again (several times) and I thought that it got updated because this time indeed genies moved and attack but apparently I just stumbled on the edge case the first time.
If it happens again I'll check if there's a rock in the way. |
been watching your battle four times already, and i ended up with same conclusion as Corey.
Remember that, in case of stalked, the unit is just stopping one tile before. In this case, the one tile before would be where the rock is, so probably that stopped the dragons from moving. Yet it seems to be an unintended bug rather than a feature, as obviously stalker's ability isn't supposed to work like that. |
Happened again!

It often happened to my stalkers as well. If an enemy flier tries to move on a stalker slot and nearby tiles are blocked, stalker is revealed and flier doesnt move. |
