Author | Can "Intentional AFKing" be punished? |
I ask coz I just did, to punish opponent who joined in Full AP (1vs1).
Can an Admin punish me for such action, or Rules do not mention Intentional AFKing?
Since Rules do not mention entering in Full AP in Min AP Battle and Admins wont put "AP Restrictions to battles", I took Justice by my hand.
... So that opponents wastes Gold in his Full AP for nothing.
Ty in advance. | Not getting fsp at all is already punisment for you. | You lost more than your opponent anyways, -2 luck for 2 hours( time wastage ) + 0 fsp for some exp. | You lost more than your opponent anyways, -2 luck for 2 hours( time wastage )
Hah, that is very true Tbh.
QATC! Ty. | Not quite "question answered".
Intentional AFK is punishable, although it might be difficult to prove after the facts.
However, if the other player realizes you are online, he can contact an online Keeper and report you. That will lead to you receiving a penalty.
Although the topic was closed, I reopened it so everyone is aware of this (on either side of this problem: if a player goes intentionally afk during your battle, you can resort to an online Keeper to report him). | Just in case anyone is wondering, the rule you break if you intentionally afk is rule 3.16, because intentionally afking is a form of intentionally losing, so it is punishable. | Laws aren't always fair, the reason there is no AP restriction in GB's is to encourage people to donate. | because intentionally afking is a form of intentionally losing, so it is punishable.
Meaning they cant Punish if you already know you would lose?
Since you would lose anyway, no matter if you play.
Of course, the situation must be very obvious. | There is an unwritten rule that prohibits bad sportsmanship of this kind.
There have been incidents where players didn't go afk, but played after waiting for all the time they have in their round before playing at last second, on purpose. These reported cases were punished, at least one I remember for sure was a card game duel. | There have been incidents where players didn't go afk, but played after waiting for all the time they have in their round before playing at last second, on purpose. Not always. | I ask coz I just did, to punish opponent who joined in Full AP (1vs1).
If you have this mentality you will have to afk a lot more.. provided that you GB often and you remain convinced that you will "punish" the other player by doing so. And that is something done at the expense of punishing yourself - its worse than being selfish in my opinion. | Probably second/third time I do in my life (That I remember) only.
I confess openly because I would have no problem in getting Blocked by such thing, my mind would be calm Tbh, I did what I thought was right.
Even tho would be sad to be kicked from the game I like for such a thing.

Just read it 5 minutes ago in "About the Game" section.
And well, it mentions the Concept of "Intentional Loss", which can be confusing.
The opponent had 50 AP or so, so would have been a Loss for me anyway.
Still, if I dont fight back and just AFK (Even on 100% sure loss), it can be considered "Intentional Losing" I guess.
So yes, this answers my question, its against the Rules I suppose.
Laws aren't always fair, the reason there is no AP restriction in GB's is to encourage people to donate.
Lets be honest, a big/huge % of players "Secretly" wants AP Restrictions to battles, but the reason to not being put is the one you mention.
Not everyone wants to develop their Character with extreme Pumping of FSP, many just wanna "Enjoy" and go GB without problem, just for fun, coz game is about fun, and CG requires "Hard Work".
Anyway!
Thx for everyone and their approachs to this issue, Friendly Community)) | I confess openly because I would have no problem in getting Blocked by such thing, my mind would be calm Tbh, I did what I thought was right.

I just want to chime in here too :)
It is not a blockable offense to do it once or twice. The Keepers have a progression of penalties to apply:

Under the staged battle, intentional loss section etc. the first penalty is 1,000 and it progresses from there.
At the end of the day, that is only going to happen if the player you were playing against files a complaint anyway. | closed by Corey (2016-09-09 05:08:45) |
