Truth be told, starting from lvl 17 this problem is non-existant.
All artifacts for lvls 17 and 17+ have massive stock, due to being available only from the shop - no production facilities exist yet. And yeah, this gives 17+ CL an upperhand, since they do not have to worry about depleted stockpiles and buying at higher prices.
How to avoid "business-people" taking advantage of the artifact shortage? Stockpile on items during no-event period.
They aren't doing anything illegal. It may not be cool to benefit from being first to buy stuff and sell it at higher price, but there is no rule against it. It's just a way how the world in real life works too. |

this is not happen first time..so make sure you have at least 2-3 extra art(which you using most)
for lvl 17 grade 2 rings and swords are example..always keep 2-3 extra.. |

There are ways to outsmart the traders ;)
All you have to do is prepare in advance, when there is no event going on.
To be honest empty stocks and items on the market for way higher price annoyed me too in the past. Now I simply try to keep a stock of every item in my inventory.
I put most emphasis to keep the items that usually evaporate immediately from the production facilities (like cloaks and rings). |

(if you cant afford to buy on the market and cant afford to rent, then you probably could not afford to play the event anyway.

Trading is part of the game, or actually: making sure you either have gold, or do not need it.

you could log in on the russian site, heroes.wm if you want to see any news there (no need to be able to read it, when an event is anounced you will most likely recognize that)

Lets not be the ones who say " meh you should have bought before the event" - that is stating the obvious and a meaningless suggestion coming from you. At best, it tells us you have nothing to suggest. For most things there is a way to prevent it - doesn't mean you will always be able to escape the problem by being prudent 100% of the time.
Fair or unfair, we don't want to be in a situation where 3k cloaks sell for 7k in the market for as long as an event lasts. So I'll tell you what I did - rent from artifact shop for "just" 40% more cost. If everyone did that, soon there would be no more attempts to sell it for more than 4k. But i guess instead of doing that, we are very convinced that there is nothing unfair about it, huh? |
You can whine all you want but nothing changes if you keep being stupid. Let this event be a lesson so next time you can stock up some arts or even doing the buy low sell high.
And to the people whose name not need to be said, dont say russian bla bla bla without a proof. Thats only reflect your own stupidity |
