AuthorWhat leads people to AFK in GBs?
It's sad to see AFKs in around 10-25-33% of my GBs, honestly. :(

So my question is: What leads people to leave a battle?

Leaving aside the obvious situation where the enemies are Full AP when you fight naked, in some EOFOs I create I get to see TWO or THREE people leaving.
I mention this since EOFOs is the battle in which the AP is less of a gap, since unions/teams/strategy/phsycology has more impact, leading people to 3vs1 etc, for instance.

I dont know whether to blame people's Internet for this, since it happens VERY VERY often, even in EOFOs and battles where the AP is EQUAL (Meaning no advantages for a team).
No idea how Russia's/Ukraine's Internet companies are, but I wont say they suck Lol, I doubt it.

Anyone can put some light in this issue? Ty in advance.

(Btw note that I make reference to ppl who AFK from the beggining.
AFKers in this game are more likely to not even try, than to RageQuit in the middle from my experience).
Do you really want to know? Its as if you say this to make someone listen rather than ask a genuine question.

Btw note that I make reference to ppl who AFK from the beggining.

If they leave from the beginning without trying, even though they have joined with more ap ( obvious situation where the enemies are Full AP when you fight naked, in some EOFOs I create I get to see TWO or THREE people leaving...) Who is hurt the most financially and who receives zero fsp for larger xp?

Also, how do these "afkers" know of your strategy/psychology and what not without playing at all? I will let to decide if they really do leave so early or not? At least, I would like to think that anyone wearing mid to high ap won't abandon without even trying or they're only hurting themselves.

Its possible to never realize if the other guy is actually having connection problems or just deliberately afking unless there is some sort of direct or indirect declaration of abandonment.

To try answering this question: I doubt if many people can consider EOFO to be more than a very casual mode.. It exists just to experience a change from the usual battle mode unless we're talking blindfold tournaments where prize is involved so that might be a reason why it isn't worth spending time on a battle when multiple people have arbitrarily decided to single you out. I almost never see afks at my level (below 0.5%) but i also don't play EOFOs.
isn't GB is dead like eons ago ?

better play CG or get back to clan defenses. Survilogs never afk ;)

btw, clan players may afk (very rare) due to power loss etc.
So my question is: What leads people to leave a battle?

For adults:

Husband/wife needs something urgently.

Kids woke up when they didn't suppose to.

An urgent businesses call who can't be avoided and needs full attention.

Boss/co-worker need you or approaching the desk.

Toilet urgent situation.

Food is burning.

and many many more reasons....

For kids:

Mom yelling to go eat/study/sleep.

Toilet urgent situation.

I am sure there must be more reasons than this but I think you get the picture.
The very few times i went afk were because either my net suddenly shut or i totally forgot about the combat i joined
if I ever went afk in a gb

it would be due to three reasons:

1) my internet is slow
2) my mom shut the internet down
most important one:
3) it is dead long, since some guys wait till the last second to take a decision.. some just move here and there and don't fight....

>:(
well most of my afk's always happen cause i joined a battle then forgot about it and when i check back im probably dead...xp
