Why is the campaign so hard? Even with full arts, in a good game, i still LOSE. The Druid has higher arts than me with full arts - how is this possible? The druid is higher level than me or something!? Let alone the attack and defence, they have 3 luck and 3 morale, WTF?! i've tried over 5 times as well and THEY DO NOT GET EASIER!? WTF!?

Whats the point of introducing something that is near impossible? I've lost 20k worth of arts and gained absolutely NOTHING.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the very definition of insanity - Albert Einstein.

Have you actually tried a different build of talents and recruit? Beauty part about the campaign is that it is nearly impossible to win from head to toes using the same recuit/setup. The campaign actually forces you to think and act accordingly.

Nothing is impossible, you just need to find the right way to beat it. But anyways nothing can be done here unless you post the battle.

I have licences worth around 120k minimum (based on current market prices) and gotten diamonds, valuable arts and armaments.
Looking through your combat log, I only see you have attempted 1 battle in the campaign and lost once?

It's all about trying the right type of build that will work, as Usbeorn said, post the link(s) here and we may be able to figure out what you've done wrong.
Alright, and now how am i supposed to fight against this guy? I thought i was doing pretty good by the fact that he took over cyclops not orcs or hobs... but what can i do when those spiders have two turns before my hobgoblins??? He even confuses me so my orcs deal next to nothing in regards to ranged damage......

I'm guessing that campaign is simply for you to lose 5 times until it will get easier - mind you that each battle costs me 500gold and I havent received even a single reward yet.

Don't put your shooters so close together, that way if one gets taken over, the other can still shoot the enemy.

Also - in your first move why did you go for the vermins, they aren't really that much of a threat compared to the cave demons (imo)

Finally - is that your full arts set? 500 gold per battle for full arts seems quite cheap imo, maybe there are better arts?
I was just generalising with the cost of the arts, I have the best possible arts (but i do lack a lucky horseshoe which i don't have the gold for at the moment).

And for the archers, if the cyclop gets taken over, because he is still an ally, i can still arch. I didn't arch because of confusion, -70% ranged damage...
Again, i did better than the first time, but they still win..... there is no way for me to win...

Ah this particular defence DD battle, it's my 2nd most hated battle among all.. It's darn tough but winnable for sure.

Anyways it was like a suicide match, most of your melee troops (including orc chief) barely got to hit anything and were too slow to react and left out in the open. A disclaimer though, I'm not a huge fan of the barbarian faction but IMO, take basic offence and advance leadership talent, and wear a ring or pendant which boost morale if you like, which would give you 3-4 morale.

Also temptress will not be able to (and most likely they won't but even if they could only for a short while) control orc chief or hobs so i would propose maybe split your cyclops as bait for tempt.

Wait till for the spiders to come close to you as you NEED and MUST have the first strike so perhaps position your cyclops as such spiders would go for them too i.e. instead of attacking, move forward a step or 2 (remember you're dealing with AI so they will prioritise range troops). It depends also on your playing style but here I would invest some parameter on defence..

All in all it's literally impossible to give a step by step guide and you would have to analyse the situation yourself but ultimately the goal is to have the first strike with orc (melee) or hobs on spiders first by drawing them close to you and it may not be such a good idea to rush and suicide your rocs..

Btw you're not wearing the best arts, best art in your level (coupled with your +2 defence from LG) would have given you 27 defence points.
Post 8 was in respect of the first time you tried that particular battle, I was still typing when you posted the 2nd one.
Get black wolfs, put them at 2:8
Transport your ogres to 7:9 so if they get attacked your orcs and wolfs could wipe them out
Target spiders first, then go for vermins/succubis, avoid being inside enemy range, if you cannot block them.
Make walls with 1 stacks whatever possible in order to stop their advancement.

Most important rule, you've to learn how to properly advance with barb faction, there's no way around. If you keep sending one unit per time, you'll sure lose.
You need to prepare all your units to make a massive strike on the next turn, without exposing your dps units, such black wolfs.
I mean rocs not orcs, btw.
