Breaking intelligence reports! Numerous Survilurg forces have been sighted perilously close to the borders of our Empire. The enemies have occupied some of the ruined fortresses nearby, managed to reconstruct and fortify their war-torn walls, and turned them into encampments. A major invasion seems to be brewing just around the corner.
The Survilurgs appear to be focused on training their troops as hard as they can, which has permitted our scouts to get hold of rather sensitive information. There are three types of encampments, each focusing on practicing a specific way of doing battle: Combat, Magic or Support. These activities are watched over by the inscrutable Grand Masters, each of whom is said to have reached the pinnacle of his art.
Valiant Lords and Ladies, these Survilurg armies plotting to storm our borders must be stopped in their tracks. Extinguish this threat with a preemptive strike on the enemy’s camping grounds and overpower their so-called Grand Masters. We’ve no time to waste, so move out immediately and deal a crippling blow to the Survilurg forces!
Campaign details:
Castle siege mechanics have undergone significant changes and enemy armies have decreased in size, resulting in more fast-paced combat.
1. All combats are 1 vs. 1 against an enemy hero taking cover inside a castle.
2. Lords and Ladies must be of Combat Level 3 or higher to participate.
3. You may face opponents of any faction and (starting with CL 5 and above) any class.
4. Only shop artifacts are allowed, and no artifact enhancements have effect.
5. Your first siege will be against a level 1 enemy castle. Every time you are victorious, the difficulty and level of the enemy castle increase.
6. You may attack one of three types of castles, each with its own specific way of doing battle.
7. Castle walls partially protect the defending troops from ranged attacks and spell damage.
8. After each siege you earn points which can be used to upgrade your catapult.
9. If you are defeated, in your next siege you will face the same type of opponent, but the defending army will be diminished in strength (the more troops you killed in the last battle, the weaker the next army).
10. For each successful siege you may plunder the castle vaults for gold, creature armaments and low-durability artifacts.
11. You have 12 combat attempts per day. Any unused attempts are not lost but carried over to the next day(s).
12. The campaign will last seven days, until February 16, and you will have two additional days, until February 18, to use up any remaining attempts.
13. Potions of skill may be used within this campaign.
14. You can lead an attack from any Empire location.
15. Your catapults have been strengthened to break through castle walls with more ease.
