Are they worth the gold at CL 5?
I will mostly be playing hunts (easy ones since not planning to buy full arts) and some MGs.
No tourneys, no PvP, just hunts.
I am thinking of skipping their construction because I don't believe they are useful at higher CL.
Also which is better to build faction resistance or keep increasing FSL (to get more runes) if dwarf is main faction?
Just reached CL 5.
Dwarf: 4 (186.09) +93.9
Hunters' guild: 2 (178.77) +1.2

Spearmen are absolutely worth it even for hunts because spearmen are pretty weak and vets make a good replacement.
However I suggest you build faction resists all the ay upto lvl 8 because then it gets expensive |
Veterans are useless
Dont buy because no one uses it after getting master spears and since you intend to avoid PvP, so buying them would be waste. |

That is my strategy with other alt where Tribal is main but with Dwarf it is tricky. Is there any point in building faction resistance and not having runes with dwarf? Wouldn't it be better to try to get Dwarf to atleast FSL 7 before CL 8 and then build resistance?
I also think getting higher FSL and thus higher bonuses before CL 9 is better than building 1 or 2 resist in each faction. However above CL 9 resistance is required because more PvP like CG etc. This is my opinion though. Would like to hear some counter arguments. ) |

| Skip the veterans. You will very rarely find use for them. Master Spearmen are superior. |
| I find them useful in QTs, just keep 2 stacks of 3-4 troops of veterans beside your main troops ( like FU or bers) and if your enemy has 8 speed troops, they will mostly hit veterans instead of your main stacks. |
