| I didn't get everything with the ATB-bar. Why is it profitable to defend instead of waiting if your stack (not killer stack) gets its turn before the enemy in case of waiting? I always thought that waiting two times was equal to one ordinary turn. Is that wrong? |

Also, if i have 2 main stacks that i want to have before enemy units from next wave but one of those stacks is the killer stack, do i need to increase the distance between those 2 stacks on the ATB bar to have them go before the next wave units? |

The best killer-stacks are high-initiative creatures, as they may ruin your initiative bar for other stacks.
if a killer-stack is not a high-initiative creature, other creatures with higher initiative can change the ATB bar not in his favour

it depends. according to the author, you should analyse the position of your stack in case of waiting and choose what is better: waiting or defence
