Ok, I've been on a movie palooza due to my B-A-U-tiful girl-friend.
So let us start with the newest liked movie I have, Here Comes the Boom!
Well there may not be a ! at the end of it but it was a pleasant surprise to how this movie was better than suckie.
I totally expected it to be a lame but it was actually done well considering.
BASIC STORY: A slacker of a teacher in whatever he taught (I think biology) discovers a passionate music teacher and they explore their love for each other despite both being men, haha, just kidding but really...
A slacker teacher falls in love with the music program which is about to be shut down after the music teacher reveals he is about to be a father. The protaganist tries to come to the rescue to the budget crunch which is about to shut down all of the extracaricular programs in the high school by deciding to fight professionally in MMA (mixed martial arts) while pursuing a crush for another (female)haha) teacher.
For me the first 20 minutes kinda sucked due to slow story progression but the rest is good. I love action flicks and my girl...not so much but even she liked it. So guys or girls with female-ish boyfriends this is a good couples movie.
FOLLOW UP: for those who are pure action fans of the kung-fu w/guns movie you should TOTALLY check out is THE RAID:REDEMPTION! Again the first 20 minutes but...dude just see for yourself. You like blood then you will F***n appreciate this movie. (blood as in red dripping blood not the vampire for those that are anime fanatics) |
