AuthorR.I.P. The Delhi Gangrape Victim
Darkness has dawned upon humanity as one of India's daughters who endured one of the most violent crimes in history succumbed to her injuries after putting up a brave fight and struggling hard for 13 days. Her courage will always remind everyone of the never say die attitude for ages to come. But before completing her role as a human, she has indeed has become an inspiration to many and a source that initiated a startling protest against one of the most inhuman crimes. May she rest in peace. R.I.P.

I hope that the wrong doers are punished to the greatest extent possible.
I think you're taking it too far by saying it is one of the most violent crimes in History.

No doubt it's tragic and something needs to be changed, but they're have been far worse violent crimes committed in history

Well, pretty true, but most violent will surely be a comparative term...what I feel is the most violent might not be the most violent for someone else...
i was going to create a similar thread...

R.I.P India's daughter...may justice prevail over her family and the wrong doers are punished to the greatest extent possible.

for those who do not know what this is :-

a girl of 23 was travelling in a bus with her friend whereby a gang of six raped the girl after beating up her friend and most probably the bus driver too

she was taken to a hospital in singapore where she put up a brave fight and struggled hard for 13 days but unfortunately she passed away Her courage will always remind everyone of the never say die attitude for ages to come. But before completing her role as a human, she has indeed has become an inspiration to many and a source that initiated a startling protest against one of the most inhuman crimes.

Agreed but I'd like to ask you which ones would be most violent for you? It's nothing personal but in my opinion, there will be a general consensus on this.

Also, regarding the protests, I believe the protests are highly selective. Changes need to be made at the basic, fundamental level as well as the Govt level.

The bus driver was one of the 6 who were the culprits.

100% true. Well, that is why is used 'one of the most' instead of 'the most' :p

Anyways, it is not important whether it is one of the most cruelest crimes or not, the fact is something unlawful happened.
R.I.P. is all I can say :(
Dec 29 our national shame day :(
Sorry Sister, R.I.P
Thousands of children were sold into the sex labor after infamous zunami that striked Oceania and no one cared. Now you tell me to cry over just one raped girl? Srsly?

for eddimanuel: Why should this not be discussed in public? If this news is being aired on television 24x7, and if it doesnt violate any forum rule or real life laws, I dont see any reason for closing this topic.

Well truly said. What gives more TRP to the news channels are the only cases given priority. Anyways, priority was given to this issue only because this issue was focused upon. Her sacrifice will atleast ensure stronger laws to prevent such acts in future.

for Vlaer:

if you are really cared much, what are you doing here?

i part-timely work with child care, low caste, sick people and go on
doing like this is not going to help anyone. rather this spoils countries names & provoke people.

Action speak more than words. do something useful if you really care.
I don't agree with eddy, and no offense intended eddy, I believe that such topics must not be ignored just because the crime itself was atrocious in nature or it is an act of evil.
We need face such evil, look it right in the eye and acknowledge its existence if we wish to rid them form our society.
And yes while most of us might not go and help the needy by taking up part time work I firmly believe that talking about these evils will raise avarness and would move some people(however less that might me) to do what you do.(Helping the needy and showing compassion that is)
