so my school asked for 8 students from each class to represent a specific country given by the MUN ( modern united nations ) we will have to do a speech/ presentation about the country , and ways to analyze it in our own words , i my self have the requirements needed ( requirements are : Personality | Good English | Writing skills ) but i fear that other students in my class would enter and ruin the whole thing , because my floor advisor said that if only 8 people joined , there wont be any need to pick , i hope there are more , we have a lot of posers in my class . i hope you guys may also try that project , state your ideas on the Country Syria and whats happening there . please do that may give me some good ideas . Syria is a country in the middle east , facing a very tough time with its leader Bashar Hafez Al asad , he treats them very bad , now they are fighting back ( rebels) and He is Bombing half of the cities and killing innocent people . | modern united nations
There was an old united nations?
I think you meant Model UN :p
requirements are : Personality | Good English | Writing skills
Creative skills?
Speaking skills?
Presentation ability?
Technical skills?
By the way your english and writing skills aren't that great :p
And since it's 8 students, I would add teamwork skills to the requirements :)
floor advisor said that if only 8 people joined , there wont be any need to pick , i hope there are more ,
In some cases you could have less than 8, and then your floor adviser would be forced to conscript :D
What you said about Syria is basically what anyone who watches 2min news clip would know. Your focus could be done away from that. Since you didn't list any requirements beyond represent a specific country, then you could really do anything. You can talk about culture, religion, economics, history, government, etc.
Or you can go indepth on any particular issue or question. For example:
-what if their leader got assassinated
-what if the UN stepped in militarily
-what if the UN stepped in politically/economically
-how does the rest of the middle east influence syria
-what can the rest of the middle east do | Or you can go indepth on any particular issue or question. For example:

Don't mind Pan, his native language is US English, so he might be judging you on a different scale, and not factoring in that it is a second language
Ask him to write a little text in one of his second language, I am sure your English will be just as good as that, if not even better ;o)
nope its Modern United Nations
Never heard of it either.... | nope my native language is Arabic , i am lebanese , in the middle east | It isn't Modern United Nations, it is Model United Nations. It is held every year in my school (and is done so throughout the world). Check out google:
