Invoker's storm strike does the same amount of damage as their normal strike would do.

Usually, in hunts, the fewer stacks there are, the better. Obviously, it depends on the battle and faction. |

| The words "Storm Strike" is a carry-over from the description of the equivalent ability in HoMM5. "Storm Strike" in HoMM5 is "Retribution Strike" here. Thus the description should read "This creature can attack any chosen target with the Retribution Strike once per combat." |

When invokers make a melee attack, half of the damage is normal physical damage; the other half is the (non-elemental?) lightning damage that comes from the Retribution Strike ability. When they Avenge, they do only the lightning damage, not the physical damage. That's why it looks like Avenge does less damage than Retribution Strike. |
