BBS is good for factions with good shooters if needs to be compared to BBB. BBB has 20% melee dmg bonus.
in high lvs/full ap fights, BBB will be more effective since they are counted in percentage.
If it was me, i'd say BBS.. |

| Every artifact's price depends on the frequency of its drop. BBS and especially BBB are rare in drop (I got BBS only once and never got a BBB). In any case, I'd definitely not buy a BBB at 80k gold ... |
BBS is better if you have a lot of bowmen in your army.
BBB is good for DE (only witches can shoot) |
BBS - Versatile, all factions can use very well.
BBB - Better for few factions, or specific kind of hunts.
In general, if you can have both, get both, if you can get only one...

Blades currently sell for around 20 - 24k
Spears are on average around 17k - 19k (though sometimes can be found cheaper).
If your attack without a weapon selected is around 30 then both will do similar melee damage but spear will do higher ranged damage. For each attack stat point over 32ish then then blade will start being increasingly better than spear for melee (but always worse for ranged). The higher your base attack is before equiping weapon the better blade melee damamge will be. |
