Im sure this has been suggested a million of times before but possibly the admins will look at this one.
As in like the HoMM games we should be able to siege a persons castle and if the attacker wins he gets a few resources/bit of gold (depends on the attackers SG (sieging guild) level and the defenders CL)
Certain buildings can help a defender with things like a wall, etc(on top of their normal bonuses):
Fort: gives the defending army plus 1 defence per 2 levels of the defending hero (so level 10 would give you +5 defence)
Citadel: adds a keep (a tower that has a shooter (the shooter depends on your faction, for instance a knight has 1 bowman, a wizard has a gremlin and etc)) also adds a moat-like terrain in which when a non-flying creature goes over it takes 50(for example) damage.
Also up to 2 defensive towers can be bought, all buildings when destroyed can be repaired for 30% of the original price, excluding the 2 defensive towers which are built for 100% of the cost, no building inside the town (dwellings, magic guilds, etc) can be damaged.
The attacker can buy special siege machines such as a trebuchet(destroys walls and towers) or a siege tower (at the start of the siege he places up to 4 non-large, non-flying creatures in the tower and moves the tower up to a wall, then the creatures,on their turn, can climb over the wall and move in to attack the defending army)
The siege towers stats:
Defence:25 (scales with SGL)
HP: 250 (scales with SGL)
Speed: 4
Initiative: 10
When destroyed all troops inside machine are killed.
There is also a gate in which opens when a defending unit is sent outside of the gates, the defending unit cannot get back in though, unless it/somthing has jammed the door open.
Every level of the sieging guild also adds +2 attack to an attacking army.
I hope this idea is implemented as it will revolutionize the game and make Raging Cyclops useful. Please give me feedback on this idea (dont care if its bad or good) |
