I think it better to got mount end by Durability each time travel Durability lost 1 point. That mean mount can be repair in smith. It easier for player to count money when they can't online. it take them a lot of money. |

Besides mounts need to eat, so weekly cost is better and makes more sense. |

If you are riding golems as your mount, I can agree with your idea.

it make people must to think a lot before buy mount. About repair: in castle can be added 1 more building is stable for horse to drinking and eating. It restores energy of mount. Change mount durability into energy. Is my idea better? |

Something like "mount for 14 days, but with durability to get removed earlier maybe".

I suggest something like this:
Mount can be "repaired" once/twice/... during its duration to increase its durability by a small amount, or raise its duration by a few hours. |
mixture can make player harder to manager their money. If they can't manage their money they will leave this game because the name of this game is lord of war and money money money money |
I was discussing the current mount system with a friend who plays this game on Skype a while back but never got round to posting what we came up with, I guess I'll put it here since it comes under the topic of mounts.
The idea was to implement a cost for feeding your mount. You could then pay X amount of gold originally to buy the mount, then would need to spend X amount of gold a day to feed your mount, depending on the type of mount and the amount you travel.
so for example (I know this is probably a bad equation to use, its just an example :P): X*Y
Where
X= the amount of times you travel
Y= A set cost per journey for your mount.
alternatively it could be (X*Y)+Z
Where
X= the amount of times you travel
Y= A set cost per journey, the same for each mount
Z= An extra set cost depending on your mount. So a low level mount could have Z as 50, and a higher level one as 200 for example.
I think the first one would work better, as the second doesn't incur a larger cost for better mounts depending on how much you travel.
If you don't travel, then the cost would be the same as if you had travelled once that day. If your going away for a while there could be an option to buy enough food for several days, so your mount won't die in your absence. |

Joechue, reading all posts before replying is a good idea. If you want to think in terms of it being logical for real life, my suggestion incorporates that. I'm not saying what I have suggested will work, but it certainly nullifies your argument. If you read my post and have valid points against it I am more than happy to listen, but if your not going to pay attention to the thread as a whole then anything you post is invalid. |
