Whats the problem here? You played bad and got wasted. You lose something like 70 gold. It's a thief ambush get used to it. You will see them a lot more in future. |

Either barbs are/were too strong (I doubt it), or there are too few low level thieves these days. |

Most people who got thei TGI got them under the old system which enabled people to get a TGI to much much lower prices.

This are the rules for YEARS. Even you have been losing money in thief fights for months and months and months...

| The real problem is that you're not used it by now. They should change it so thief ambushes trigger faster so more people start thieving again. It isn't fun waiting 20 minutes for a battle and then finally just giving up. Then again I'm one of the people who got into the thieves guild renting for about 24k so my opinion might be a little biased. |

They did change it several months ago. Before that I used to wait up to 1.5 hrs :(

Thieves mostly ambush caravans. And for your level, you'll hardly get ambushed unless you travel around nonstop everyday. |

great_barbyou have two options, thief killer or a nice victim
Thief killer: were best arts keeps your eyes open while traveling, if you win you get nice exp and fsp
nice victim: travel with no arts and only a high ini troops like Roc etc, you don't get any durability loss or flee penalty. usually thief like this and they will give back your gold unless you face some rude guy |
