You could keep traveling between Seraph`s Tears and Ridge of Hope for an entire week straight and not get ambushed once :)
Most thieves lay their ambushes between well traveled areas. Try traveling along these well worn paths during peak times and you might just get your wish :D |
In one of the game updates experience for thieves was doubled (against players).
I guess this is one of the reasons why thieving became not so popular (at least this is the case for me). |
| I wonder how many new members does the thief guild have nowadays. Its impossible for me at least. Ain't ever going to be a millionaire. Only the older members, who had the invitation are at an advantage here. For newer players, thief guild might not exist...unless someone has a TG and bashes you up in ambush or pvp. |

but ... there it says XP against caravans is doubled, nowhere is mentioned about players, maybe against players it was already doubled (so no need to mention it again), or not ? Dunno, I've heard in another forum that people get double XP in thieving and level up fast for that reason, but I don't remember mentioning a difference in XP between people and caravans. Anyway, I hope it's double in all kind of thieving ;) |

The gold you lost in roulette + all the gold and resources you have now will give you approximately 65% of the amount needed to buy a TGI at 1.1 mil. With a little haggling, you might be able to get a TGI for less than 1mil, in which case you would've been a lot closer to your goal.

1) some will buy tgi WITH diamonds, reach level 5 and try to sell it a bit cheaper than current posts.
2) some rich guy will buy and try to get gold a gain buy posting a bit higher.
cycle 1 and 2 many times, eventualy market players will be full with TGI's to the point they cant buy anymore and forced to sell, hence prices go down :d
problem is, will that happen in a humans lifespan ? |

1) that's not possible unless you are referring to exchanging diamonds for gold and then buying TGI. 80 diamonds only gets you into TG. Then you need to reach TG5 to get a TGI.
2.) That's just inflating prices; if those resellers keep on doing it, then prices would always be inflated. And then with enough resellers it just becomes a dumb pyramid scheme and prices would infinitely go up (but admins capped the price to 1.2 M) |

Players are able to do that since long ago, prices didn't fall at all ... on the other hand they got even higher. One year ago (or maybe less) TGI on market had 600k gold, remember ? now they just stopped increasing due to the ability to trade diamonds with gold (and not real money), so max TGI price was established to 80*15000 gold, TGI sellers now post offers on the market a little cheaper than that. |

| Perhaps if the cost of getting a TGI was reduced or old system of getting more than one TGI per thief were brought back more thieves would exist. As of right now I would bet that 99% of players that want to be in TG will never get there. It is a big advantage to older players and those that donate. |
