see if we have any unread message we can see a "new" sign
i say keep the same sign if we have sent a mail and if the player has not read it the sign can be seen in the sent items
this will prevent the over flooding of messages as we know he/she has not read it and we wont send another message!

Why send another msg, they will read it when they read it. And will reply when they will reply. So no need to flood at all people are not more likely to reply to a second or third msg.
Also I think its a violation of privacy to see when I chose to read my mail. This system is the same as e-mail and letters.

think in this way
ur friend has ask for help in hunt
and u went offline the same time unaware of this
what will ur friend think ur ignoring him (if he does not known u properly)
and then if he sees that u have not read his message he'l understand that |

Agree with Khel. What does it matter if you know whether the person has read your mail or not? If he hasn't replied yet, then that means he's too busy to reply or just doesn't want to talk to you. Knowing he's read the mail or not isn't going to change that. |
