Guys when bandits attack in range(6)they are weak, but when they melee attack they are more powerful, and when liches hit in range they are powerful but they are weak in melee,i tried but i couldn't find the explanation so can you help me about that? |
Explanation for liches.
They are a shooter.
Shooter:
This creature can deal ranged damage. When the distance to a target is larger than 6 tiles, the target only takes half the normal damage. The creature can't perform ranged attacks when there is an enemy stack adjacent to it. Shooters do half the normal damage when melee-attacking. The amount of ranged attacks in every combat is limited to the "Shots" parameter of every shooter. If shots go down to zero, the creature looses "Shooter" ability until end of combat. .
They do half the normal damage when melee-ing.
Explanation for Bandits.
They have NO MELEE PENALTY.
# No melee penalty:
This shooter suffers no penalty when dealing melee damage.
No "half the normal damage" |
You should check creatures abilities.
Liches are shooters, which means they deal maximum damage shooting creatures in their range but deal half their max damage in melee.
Bandits are also shooters, but they have ability called ranged penalty which lowers their ranged damage by half in range or not. Lastly, they have ability called no melee penalty which makes their melee attacks deal max damage.
Hope you understand :) |
easy :
Bandits are weak shooters this means :
- Range penalty (damages reduiced by 50%)
- No melee penalty (full damages in close combat so 100%)
In case of liches they are good shooters this means :
- No range penalty (over 6 hex 50% damages / within 6 hex 100% damages)
- Melee penalty (damages reduiced by 50% in close combat)
Good luck. |

Bandits have no melee penalty.
Liches have plague shot. |
Re: Bandits
...making them a very melee specific shooter
the ranged attack comes into it's own with the poison of the Poisoner but that is a very subtle tactic |
thank you all for help:) |
