I just tried this to see what happens and got trashed..;(
I am not a very good player in duels but I fought a mirror of myself.
But the troop strength of my mirror seemed to be about 20% greater than mine.
Is this normal?

But is the troop strength of the mirror variable?
I have watched a couple of other commanders guild mirror battles and the troop strength of the mirror was the same.. |
You have to keep in mind that it's stronger than you and it's your mirror. You can use that to your advantage. I wouldn't use tactics, but put everything on the back line, out of reach for cerberi (in fact you have been very lucky that you attacked first, normally the mirror attacks first). Gate everything in first turn and let him come to you. Focus only on real troops.
The bot is quite smart, but it's suicidal. It comes to you and will attack gated troops. Use that to your advantage and you win. I see that you already brought no shooters, which is a good idea :). |

Gate.
Allow him to come in close, then WHAM! Don't feed yourself to the wolves!
If you still fail, downgrade your troops & remove shooters. |
I think is a fixed number. There is another thread about the topic.
But in short use the AI common mistakes
Make 1 stacks and take retail, when AI charge stupidly ahead. The difficulty varies a lot on different faction, but you can help it on its way by choosing talents and troops that the AI use improbable. |

Arctic vs mirror
You say...

But Arctics mirror is the same in troop numbers.
Or am I missing something here...@-@

Arctic is indeed a special case, his fight appears to be a test. Or maybe he isn't smart enough to take on the extra troops that we are expected to!
Anyhow find just one regular player who didn't have to fight increased troops for their mirror... |
In my opinion is there a better way for demon to win instead of "letting him come to you".

You will see, the mirror lost almost everyting in the first turn. Why? He always gates in the first turn and do not consider an attack.
I dont know how you can compose your troops on level 11, but if you try similar to my tactic it should be an easy win. |
| Ok, a lot of different tactics. So, or you gate all and let them come to you, or you don't gate at all and make sure you can spray a lot of his troops in turn one. You could even consider switching back to wolves, so he can't hit you that easily. |
