AuthorRenting Arts At Way Below Market Value
Hiya,

Recently, I seemed to see quite a few transactions from various players like this -

Received item(s): 'Thief dagger [I10E10A10W10]' [99/99] to be returned until 11-11-11 11:11 ; for 1 battles from LordsWM . Transaction price: 1 Gold

Is renting of expensive/enchanted arts at incredibly low price, like for 1 gold, legal?

Thanks.
Yes. It also happens to be profitable to BOTH parties, and is big enough business to have its own section of the forum:

??? Renting a max enchanted art for ONE gold is profitable for BOTH parties? Seriously.. ?
1 Gold

Where'd that come from? Last time I was in this thread it was 100 Gold...

...Huh.
I'm off to get my Eyesight tested. See ya later, everybody.
Could be friends.
That's nothing wrong to help out your mate and give him something or a battle for free. As long as it's not on the permanent basis which could be considered as a financial aid.

Or that could be a mistake :)
You might want to check the dates.

Sometimes there are special events where players don't use artifact durability while the event is active.

If the item was rented during one of those times......

Grunge
or sometimes the player send the gold seperately.
e.g. they agree in a pm that he pays 2000 gold for the arts. Then he sends the gold with the transfer option and then gets the artifact for 1 gold.
when did thief dagger get 99 durability?
You might want to check the dates.

Nope, no events. All within the past 1-2 months.

Not here to pin-point anyone. Just wanna know the rules.

Nope. No other transactions between said players on the same page. just many arts, all for 1 gold.

I didn't want to reveal or give hints to players' identity, so I made certain.. 'amendments'. :)
yeah, when did thief dagger get 99 durability?

that;s way more interesting than 1 gold transactions :)
Anyone with a definitive answer? Mods?
It all depends on the circumstance, without seeing the actual transfer logs it would be hard to say if it is cheating or not. Making a decision on a particular transfer, without seeing the entire tranfer log would be just guessing if it was cheating or not.
#14,

Hiya,

Can't we just take my example above at face value? - Is it legal to rent a full/max enchanted art for 1 gold, even if it's just 1/a few transactions only?
Counts as gift. If they are not multis/totally poor renter, nothing to see here, move along.
It could have been a offer for doing something, like enchanting, or repairing, or a multitude of things. I would not want to make a snap judgement without all of the evidence. ie. transfer logs.
What about the 99/99? And Jedi I'm REALLY curious for a link to that log, now.

On a Side note: Eyesight checked. Apparently 20/20. Weird.
