Yes, at TG3 you get 3x of the base gold.
Against players you can see the base gold (the amount they lose). Against caravans you don't see it. The base gold is random. Somewhere between 40 and 100 gold. As Straws mentioned for some reason player base gold range is slightly lower. |

No, they only increase when your combat level increases or when you win. |

Yes, for each caravan type you win they will get stronger (lose-weaker), the increase in difficulty per win is higher than the decrease in difficulty per loss. So those trying to lose their way through TG would find a very very long road. |
