| If you're not doing anything, you might as well hang out at the Ridge of Hope. Desperation is not required. Since the grand update, there's no more timer for battles against neutral, so if dragon guards happen to attack while you're away, the game will wait for you (for 12 hours, I think). |

Not less than a week old, but it was on earlier this month.
As far as I know, there was a period where the dragons "disappeared", but it was long fix. |

I don't see why it has to be only a week old, any battle against dragon guards after the actual event ended (or possibly after the grand update) can count. Here's a battle a few weeks older than the one Straws gave:

Hi,
would you guys suggest a lvl 7 chap to mess with those beasts ? they seem pretty mean !
i noticed the battle posted by straws has many more dragons than the one by Switchblad3. is that due to level of opponent (14 & 9) or Random?

It's due to victories against previous Dragon encounters, exactly like caravans. There are different Dragon "caravans" and their pattern is +5% / -2% in case of victory or defeat respectively - (source: Arctic). |
