It depends on what you re doing:
Wizzards and Necros are good for full arts group battles, DE for min AP. Wizzards are really good for monsterquests, barbarians beats wizzards in dueals. Knights are good hunter because of Crossbowman. DE and Elf are really good for thieving, also the demon. |

Best faction overall? Having played DE, Wizard, Knight, Barb and Necro--I'd argue is Wizard :)
Most useful faction would be DE though. You can do a lot of mercs, hunts, thief, etc.
Most complicated to play would be Necro. If you're looking for a challenge in GBs...Necro will keep you properly frustrated.

in min AP will necro rule over DE. Plenty of skellbows are insane, would be good in FA gbs.
In hunts and merc they are slow - but can do a huge dmg. And vamps can last almost everything - even killing disrupted guards. |
Btw, in survival tourneys best fraction is necro or DE - if we have something slow, DE can compare to necro, but otherwise FA vamp counts can survive even 4*76 hydras:)

| it does boil down to personal preference though. some factions are better than others at certain things but they have weaknesses as well and if you cannot compensate then you will lose. you have to find a faction that fits your playing style or personality. |

All factions have their abilities and differences.
Some factions are just easier to use.
I suggest to just play with the faction you enjoy playing. |
i have to say this to you,see ,there is no best faction it is all about your experience with that faction,for instance some are good with knights and some with dark elves ,so no one can fight with each other that their faction is the best.

Having played every single faction, I have to basically repeat what most players already said. There is no best faction. Each faction is different. Everything depends on your preferences and what you are doing.
Currently I personally prefer necro and DE. Ask me again every few months and I'll give you new preferences. :) |
| Everybody has their opinion and playing style, but I would have to say Demons. With a backup garrison of gated troops, all with high initiative and a hero with exceptional magical capabilities, the Demons are clearly the best choice for any level player. Besides that, they pwn. |
| DE just bad against knights (coz of the defence) and they are also bad against shooters like GM bowmen that consists of more than 2 stacks .. coz the shrews usually die first and minos are too much slow and often did not burst at all in a combat |

I only do hunts.
So I prefer elves.
But Elves are super bad when it comes to PvE xD |
