Author | Resource hack? |
I have noticed that there are a number of extremely rich players in the game who seem to have acquired large piles of resources like gems, crystals etc from nowhere, then sell them on for a fortune. Typically the transfer log has no evidence of where these resources were acquired, yet they sell a lot of them.
Is there some sort of hack by which a player can acquire resources? |
probably not. Buying ressources from mines doesn't show up in your log. selling them to players does. |
#2 : Yep - it is fairly easy to buy large amounts of most resources (or arts) from facilities to sell on the market.
Trading is all part of the game and these people need to spend a lot of time and effort to sell them but good profits are available for those willing to do it. |
like already said, from selling arts, and maybe saving for the new ones so they don't need to sell them...try selling sword of might, you get 6 of most res, but they don't appear in transfer log... |
Just take a look at their LG Guild.
If its like waay to high (5+) Then you know that the resources is from continuous enrolls . . . |
It's not difficult at all to buy resources. It is more difficult to sell.
For example I routinely buy 100-200 wood/ore from the map. I can do this in 1min and my transfer log shows no evidence. But selling takes a little more effort.
A.) The market sellers. You will see some players constantly undercutting each other and selling resources everyday.
B.) Those who use or sell to map.
I'm B. I use the resources for all my faction switching. I also sell the resources to the map. It's less work and faster to keep resources on hand to sell. I'm a lazy click-war competitor. I mostly keep the facilities running like buying 1 nickel, then enroll, then sell wood/ore/mercury, then sell nickel to factory; or buy 10 nickel, then sell wood/ore/mercury, then sell 10 nickel to factory. |

unfortunately this only works when the bonehead who artificially stuffs the facilities with money is on vacation or the script is not working. what kind of people like to encumber their own economic model anyway? |

LG does not have anything to do with getting resources.
Enrolling just gives the worker gold. The produce goes to the facility which players can buy.
However as stated in #2 & #3, anyone can purchase the resources from the facilities without it showing on transfer log.
If anyone so wishes, with enough luck and patience, the profit from such trading can keep turning over till someone with LG1 might have lots of resources while still having a clean transfer log. |
I guess people play the game differently then. I have been playing maybe 5 weeks and am on quite regularly I think, and although I sign in frequently to earn gold I'm still always broke.
I've never made more than a pittance trading. Hunt artefacts and merc elements are so rare that they cost more in arts to get than they make in sale. So I can't imagine how low level characters accumulate hundreds of thousands and an estate - or even why they would want to do so if they do not enter combats.
If you're self disciplined enough I suppose you could sit accumulating gold for a week without participating in any combats or hunts, then buy enough resources to make trading profitable & just keep reinvesting. But I'm not, hehe, and am not interested in a lifeless trading version of the game.
The other issue I suppose is that uk based players can't donate. I actually explored the webgold option & had my laptop invaded as a result, requiring a HD reformat & backup restoration! |
uk based players can't donate
nobody can at the moment. and before you ask: nobody realy knows why. |
