This is an interesting question... It depends on the conditions those pictures were taken or sold(free art galleries, free avatar sites ets). |

NOT illegal as in 'breaking game rule', but it is unethical if the avatar is somehow well known as a player's trademark (read: he is the 1st one to use the avatar in this game).
I used to have a personal avatar and someone 'steal' it and make it his avatar by doing 'horizontal mirror' without the text of my name.
As in copyright laws.. yes it is illegal. But why do we talk about illegal in a game based on HoMM?? :) |
