This is just an idea i thought of it may have been a suggestion alrdy
I think it would be fun if in the tavern games we could have alot more cards and our own deck, like lets say we each have a deck of 30, and theres like 60 or so cards we can chose to have in the deck, i think this would make the tavern games a lil more fun | oops sry pls move this to "ideas and suggestions" | It isn't a bad idea, but wouldn't mostly every player have the same cards as eachother?
Like Dragon's eye for example.

just some more card talk. ;) | I would put about 5 lucky coins in my deck
+2 to mine
+2 to barracks
destroy 5 tower +2 to monastery
destroy enemy mine
barracks and monastery
then some medium cards
then powerful cards like dragons heart,
dragons eye
and dragon
pegasus riders is a good card
and of course switch wall just in case
customizing a deck would be fun
but some cards would get neglected like -1 to each monastery
and -6 stacks to all players
bad bad cards | well i dont mean u dont put like 30 dragons in yr deck,what i mean is chose 30 different cards | like in the game when u play 1 deck if u have the card the other person wont get it,but it can be drawn again once its used | i suppose a total listing of all the cards would be nice, as well as their functions. then we could go through and pick those. also it might be better to leave a percentage of them as open ended Source cards - monasteries, mines, barracks, not being included in the "30". | ya, maybe even a required number of cards from each color, 10 each maybe
Heres some cards i thought of
Genie- 1+monastary 1-monastrary to enemey(blue card,cost 11)
Angel-14 damage to enemy tower(yellow card)
Griffen-6 damage to enemy tower (yellow card,cost 8)
Trade-Trades your barrack lv for mine lv(yellow card,cost 15)
Golem-1+ mine 7 attack(red card,cost 10)
Druid-6 damage to tower,-8 mana to enemy(blue card,13)
Farmers- 5+ wall +5 stack(red card,3) | well "senior genies" intead of "genies" :D | if you remember way way way back when, there was a card game called Magic which was based on 5 color schemes and each color represented a type of magic...red for fire, blue for water, black for death, etc etc
it'd be cool to implement this system into LWM's card game. i.e. each faction has a specific color and their cards are based off of their types of creatures and faction. For instance, they would have all of their monster types as well as their upgrades as possible cards, as well as any spells useable by that faction type, then if u really want to take it further you can do the Prime Talent ability of each faction.
for example: Elves would have faeries, sprites, Fk, EFK, druids, anchorites, etc etc then have their spells such as Swarm, Dispersion, Lightning, Stoneskin, Bless, etc etc, and then their Talent which is Rain of Arrows.

unless we alter it a bit in some way, just to not get sued :D | There are many card games, that have stolen the idea :P
If we would use magic's system, it would be basically changed. I mean, that we have 7 factions, while magic had 5 + artifacts. Also, I don't think that we would then have something like the "stack" in Magic. I mean the ability to cast Instant spells eg. to counter Sorceries. | 13.
Where do you think LWM got their idea for the current tavern game? It was "borrowed" from one of the HoMM's, which by the way is pretty similar to the overall gaming on LWM...just tweaked here and there. ;)
But as I suggested and Spellblaster touched on as well...it would essentially be a different card game. I only suggested it as a reference not as a source of stealing from it.
Another aspect that I have always thought of was the ability to "unlock" new cards. Such as, you reach a certain level and a few more cards become availble to you to use. Of course this would be according to your Gambling Guild level and would give higher level players the "special edge" they have always talked about in I&S forums...that being that higher level players should have a better chance to win. | maybe even like a card tournament where you can win like really rare cards if u win | that being that higher level players should have a better chance to win.

Since no one gives note to my Ninja Faction, time to use more of my creativity
Renewal absolute - The player returns their cards to the deck and gets new cards (mana)
Uprising - The opponent takes damage of 25% in the tower with the addition of all their resources (eg, 5 ore + 10 mana stacks + 9 = 24 ==> 24 - 25% damage = 6) (stack)
Crystal of chance - the player wins 6 ore and play again (ore)
Gift of ogre-workers - The player gains +1 mine, monastery and barracks (ore)
Opal - The player wins more than 50% of the amount that your opponent's resources. (mana)
Infiltration - 8 damage to the tower and the walls (stack)
More cards coming soon! | I like "meta-cards", cards affecting the game and other cards. Example of such cards are all cards with "play again" sentence, and the Shift Wall card. But we could add more, like:

Green, 5 Stacks
If Barracks > Monastery, +1 to Monastery
Swords To Picks
Red, 0
-1 to Barracks, +1 to Mine
Fervent Prayer
Blue, 3 Mana
-6 Stacks, -6 Ore, +1 Monastery
Buttress
Red, 3 Ore
-3 to Tower, +10 to Wall
Assault
Green, 5 stacks
-1 to Barracks, -1 to Enemy Monastery
Crumbling Wall
Red, 1 Ore
-5 to Wall, -10 Stacks to the Enemy | i like those ^^
i reckon they could add some like
Inflation
Blue, 8 mana
+2x monastary to tower
(so if you monastary was 3, it would add 6 to your tower)
Sabotage
green, 11 stacks
3x enemy baracks damage is dealt to enemy
(again if enemy barracks was 3, it would do 9 damage)
maybe some cards like this to make the game less predictable (would need more player calculation and thinking involved, saving cards for later etc) |
