AuthorHow many more losses
I remember long ago I wondered how chinablue can have so many lost games, now I understand it...

since I switched from DElf to barb my caravans strenght got doubled, every hunt is for record, PvP is in my gaming hours rare (05.00-13.00 ST) and merc guild is 1 out of 5...

lol... I presume after 300 or more lost caravans I might win some DE or necro setup...

any one of you have same expirience ingame???

did you give up or struggle in your goal to raise other faction then main???
I suffer a lot when switching, but I like the variety of it (no "main" for me)
I switched to barb from DE 4 days ago and went from winning 3 out of 4 ambushes to 1 out of 22, but part of that is because DE ambushes are much easier than for other factions.

When i switched to DE from elf a month ago the exp i got from winning an amubush immediately halved. Not sure why there's such a difference between races, but if we keep losing eventually we'll get some caravans that are beatable.
common problems DE caravans are less numerous also DE is best for hunting them. But it u win too much as DE then switch back u have to loose atleast 2x times the wins to get back to same lvl as b4. Its possible just have a tons of patience. :)
I believe someone already confirmed in the forums that DE has the easiest caravans of all the factions - Lowest numbers for same type of caravan, some even by 2-3 times (?!)

That's also probably why most players switched to DE from other factions [as can be seen by the tons of topics in the forums that goes something like, "What is the easiest faction to do TG, for thieving, etc", coz not only is DE most suited for TG, they also have the easiest caravans (!).

So for those who have played DE for most of their career here as DE, they have no idea how hard it is for us from other factions. And when they switch, it may come as a real shock to them.

To answer your Q, no, I won't be giving up or change faction, coz I personally like playing the game in hard mode, though not everyone likes to go this route.

Some of you who have never played other factions, or switched to DE since say lvl 8, got no idea what other factions are facing in ambushes.

A little trivia:

- Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't think I am), but of the 27 players who are lvl 13-14, not ONE has got to TG5 without winning some/a lot of his/her TG points playing as a DE. (Antos was the closest with just a few wins away from TG5 before reaching lvl 14, or I'm pretty sure he would be the first.)

- Only 1 player has got to level 14 (maybe even 13) without playing as a DE - Antos.

- Only 2 other players has got to lvl 13 without playing as a DE - MangaBlanco & Sekmeth. SONYcz is gonna join this elite group in the next 1-2 days.

- Only 2 players has got to lvl 13 playing a single faction - Antos and MangaBlanco. SONYcz will soon make it 3.

This shows how hard it is for other factions to reach the very top without playing/switching to DE. So to those who did it.. Respect.

So yes, Barilla, it's hard to play TG at high level with other factions. So my humble suggestion is,

1) put up with it, and enjoy the experience and adrenaline rush of facing real tough caravans (caravans might get easier, but not by much),
2) give up, and switch to back to the dark side. :p

same here, ambushed as DE to almost tg 6 and in between everytime i switch to another faction i can't even come close to winning, be it wearing thief set or 9/10 arts

to get sp for my other factions i just lose with min arts on the caravans and try to do all the merc quests i can...brigands = free sp since you don't have to wear arts

started anti-thieving for sp now, works fairly well as a demon so far...getting my faction up somehow at least
for Jedi-Knight:
Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't think I am), but of the 27 players who are lvl 13-14, not ONE has got to TG5 without winning some/a lot of his/her TG points playing as a DE.

Well, I didn't reach TG5 as a knight, but I did get to TG3 as a knight. Then for TG3 to TG4 I went back and forth between knight and DE before sticking with DE for TG4 to TG5.

I'm not going to say DE is way better than knights in TG, but it helped. I think the bigger issue is how much more difficult the caravans become as you get more TG points. I was able to get 47 win streak between TG1 and TG2 as a knight using barely full arts and I was by no means perfect in my fighting strategies. And as I progressed through TG I started improving my skills and wearing increasingly more enchanted arts, but instead of increasing my win rate I was losing way more.
check out this... it is FAST - trust me...

now that's what I'm talking about, after 12-15 more losses on this setup I maybe might win :))

nwm - I'll get myself sticker "kick me in butt for free" and stamp it on my forehead :P
