Author | Continuous connection problems in GB |
The complete games works fine for me, but entering a GB leads to hell upon earth.
So hunts, helping in hunts, ambushes (caravan and player) and MQ all works very well(I haven't tested a duel, but I guess it will work).
I've noticed that a while ago and thought might be better by now, but it is not.
Every 1-2 min. the connection interrupts and won't come back again. The only thing that works is restarting browser and load the whole map again, thus it lets me miss many turns in a GB, which makes it very frustrating and unplayable.
Sending messages seems to kill my connection too. If I send a message I can't see it (obviously, my connection broke off), but others can(I checked it).
I clear my cache, I have no history (turned off) and I hadn't such problems as a lower lvl in GBs. So what can I do else to fix the problem?
Don't know if this is related but, additionally I've noticed a problem when watching a battle and simply closing the window with the fight. All other open pages stop loading after doing so, which can only be solved by closing the browser completely and start everything anew.
Browser is Firefox 3.0.14. If you need to know more just ask.
If someone got a good tip, I'd really appreciate it. | Maybe you should upgrade to 3.5.
They had eliminated many major bugs in that version. For me, there are also some problems, such as: slower animation, and sometimes connection problems, but not like yours. | also, opera is working fine | In group battles, there are many people watching. It is normal to get yourself pretty lagged. The browser is communicating with the server pretty often (every few seconds at the maximum) and if you didn't complete the previous transfer, the browser piles up the requests until it gets jamed. In that moment you are disconnected.
Options:
1. Turn of the game sound if you have it on.
2. Set the speed of the animation to instant.
3. Turn off the blood option.
4. Switch to vector image (and not bitmap).
It is also recommended to upgrade your browser, FlashPlayer and to set FlashPlayer at the lowest quality. Try also to have only one tab with the continuous communication with the server (i.e, watch only one fight at the time). Remember, try these after you set the previous options.
Good luck! | hi ,i al ready wrote about my girlfriend character ( agarraki ) she cant do nothing with that character. i had a huge problem with my internet connection and i would like to know about that problem. thank you | i would say, you should check your connection btw your side and LWM side.
simple way, get in DOS window and use ping command. assume you are using Window platform, in case if you dont know how to open DOS Window, go Start menu, select RUN, key in 'cmd' in input box.
in the DOS window, key in 'ping www.lwm.com -t' and enter. it will ping the LWM website non-stop.
once you saw a few line OR big chunch of 'Request Timed Out', it clearly told you that you had lose connection on LWM website. check your hardware OR complain to your ISP for unstable connection if you feel like to.
and dont worry if just 1-3 lines of 'Request Timed Out'. i assume we dont have so called perfect connection. so, it is acceptable for a few of timed out and reestablish the connection after that. | ops, i mean www.lordswm.com for all the link above ;p | Thx all.
Updating Firefox made performance better (I never had a problem when pinging the site).
But now I use Opera, still once or twice I loose connection in 3vs3, but at least I can reload with F5 and doesn't have to restart the whole browser.
Opera is much faster loading all things of LordsWM at my computer, so I am using it from now on.
