I imagine it must have appeared here before, but i think that you should be able to choose what stack you resurrect when using the raise dead spell (when there are multiple dead stacks in one square).
Earlier, the spell used to resurrect the most powerful stack, eg. if there was one dead zombie and 14 dead ghosts, it resurrected ghosts. But now, a few times, it resurrected the weaker units, like a zombie instead of the ghosts. I've lost my last battle because of that. It kinda sucks, really.
this in no way makes necro any strogner
in the other thread, others make comments about not standing on ur own dead stacks... and raise raises stack with most hp, well thats full of crap
2 zombies DO NOT have more hp then 24+ ghosts, nor does a single ghost have more hp then 24+ ghosts
also sometimes putting ur stacks on top of ur dead stacks is unavoidable, example, ur protecting ur skel bow, one of the stacks protecting dies, and u need to move another stack there to keep skel bow from getitng hit, so u do. stack now standing on a dead dtack now dies, ( first stack hat died there was , lets say 2 zombies and the stack u moved there after it died was 24 ghosts, as stated above 24 ghosts have more ho then 2 zombies) from there if u try to raise u will raise the 2 zombie, a complete waste of ur time and spell
i just had a fight against 200+ ghosts, unavoidably i ended up with 3 stacks dead on the same square,
first dead stack was 2 zombie, second dead stack was 1 ghost 3rd dead stack was 24 ghosts,(and yes they died in that order)
i cast raise, it raised the 2 zombies, i moved the zombies and cast raise again, it raised the 1 ghost
i had to move the 1 ghost then i was finaly able to raise the 24 ghosts
not raising the 24 ghosts the first time like it should have and like i wanted to almost cost me the fight
i have lost fights before because of this, both hunts and duels/group battles
if the option to raise wat we want to raise cannot not be made available then it should atleast be changed to it raises the strongest stack there not the weakest, or the first stack to die there or how ever it works now WICH IS NOT BY MOST HP | I&S Local rules - https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1838998
7. It is forbidden to create topics with suggestions to weaken/strengthen any unit, artifact, faction.
First, an explanation of the spell based on my experiences, Raise Dead raises the unit which has the highest individual hp at point of death, if equal, seemingly(based on experience) the least recently dead one.
This means that Raise Dead cast on a square with a stack of 1 dead zombie and a dead stack of 1 million ghosts results in the zombie being raised.
If an Apparition stack dies on a Zombie stack, the Apparition stack gets raises (19 hp vs 17 hp), but if the apparition stack dies again on the same spot, the zombie stack get raised (14hp vs 17hp now)
By changing how Raise works or how the game selects the unit to be raised, you bring more power to the Necro since (as your own battle showed) a Necro would win easier.
Yes, it makes more tactical sense to be able to choose or to be able to raise the more powerful one, but that would unbalance the faction balance. We know the stack which will get raised by the above formula, so you can plan and strategise (it's not random), adding to that makes Necro a bit more powerful as compared to other factions.
I am of the opinion that the admin made the Raise Dead spell work this way for balance reasons or perhaps had the behaviour of the Raise Dead spell factored into the balance equation, so...
No, asking for this defies the rule given above.
