Well as there is no guild that supports warriors you have to do hunts all the time to get bonus attack and gold. I would prefere, if there is a Fighters' Guild too.
Fighters' Guild:
It got the same experience table like Hunters' Guild. And like Hunters' Guild you will get +1 Attack per Guild lvl. But you get 1 point by winning a duel, group battle or blindfold battle, as it is a Guild for Fighters.
Optional:
The best Warriors (highest Fighters' Guild lvl) of each combat lvl will be awarded by a small amount of gold every day.
This would help, that PvP players dont have to do that much hunts and merc quests to keep up with the others. |
Like it, how about 2 points for group battle, as they take much more time. |
good idea, but the points would have to be crazy.
and you could do something like:
(in 3v3 group battle)
2 points for getting first
1 point for being on the winning team (unless you died, then it is .5 points)
.5 points for losing team
0 points for being first man out.
Since higher level battles take longer too, you level might be a multiplier as well. |

Veteran i dont understand you, what should happen than? Lvl 9 wont be reached that fast (look at hunters guild) and than the experience table may be expanded. Anyway to get the best warriors you can look at the points by itself.
Zarddeath and Xerfer: Hm maybe the gain in Fighters' Guild = gain of faction skill points? Cause thats in range from 0.1 to 3. Than everybody is awarded by his actions in battle. |

This is an excellent idea, but I see a big weakness in your clan... The workload!
There are thousands of battle every day on this server. If you have 100 members and they fight ONCE a day and win half of their fights, it means you'll have to change the "skill point total" of 50 members.
It can give you so much work you can hardly imagine. Or I have missed something? |

So if a level 10 player would play against level 1 player I assume each fight would last 1 minute only. So you can perfom 6000 fights in less than 5 days, while you need around 300 days to perfom 6000 hunts.
Do you really think that fighting newbies for 5 days should give the same reward than reaching the highest possible hunt-level (no player did reach this yet, although playing for over one year)? |
why would level 1 want to play against level 10?
anyway - i think it's a very good idea because now up to level 5 is hunt only if you want to get enough money for all the upgrades and hunts and very little room for pvp fights cause you earn experience a lot faster than other points. and then if you do a few fights you end up level 5 with laborers guild level 0. and you're screwed.
so with a little work on this idea i hope it will get implemented in this game |

you earn exp for using spells in combat (10 mana used is like 10exp or something)

Arghmage: Jeah because of that, there was the suggestion in post 5, that you link the gain in Fighters' Guild to the gain in faction skill points. So you can fight a lvl one... but it wont help you, cause there is no skill gain.
Veteran: Like i said, the system may compare the points itself. You wont have same combat lvl and same points in Fighters' Guild. As example: Fighters' Guild lvl 9 with 5000 points is better than Fighters' Guild lvl 9 with 4500 points.
Blood28: Mages' Guild will be a good idea too, but plz discuss about it in another thread.

Well that will definitely encourages more pvp and discourage people from deliberately losing. |
I don't do PvP much (if at all) but if such a guild was introduced which gave more bonus for participating, I might just be convinced to do them more as well. Definitely a good idea to encourage more PvP. |
As we talked in chat about abusing the Guild (if it would be implemented) there we got 2 ideas to take that away:
1. Like said above link guild points gain to faction skill points gain. So unfair battle like lvl 6 vs lvl 4 duells wont give much guild points. (thought about a factor of guild points gain = 1/2 faction skill points gain, but it may be balanced to another factor). And that would be easy calculation, so we dont have to ask about how much points in duell, group battle and so on.
2. Playing vs same enemy on same day will half the guild point gain each time. So in first fight vs one person on this day you get 100%, than 50%, 25% and so on. This would prevent from multi accs that keep fighting vs themselfes to push the guilds lvl. |
I had a similar idea that I chose not to suggest... though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give it here.
Instead of earning attack, you may accumulate points in PvP battles which can be used to purchase arts from the Fighter's Guild. For example, you earn 1 point towards the Fighter's Guild level for each win in PvP; and furthermore you earn an amount of "points" in the guild compared to the damage you do (win or lose) which you may then spend on arts. The higher your skill level in the guild, the more arts are available. They can be original arts or simple shop arts... though in theory they should be fairly expensive (for example, you may earn 100 points in a fairly successful battle; but a Steel Sword will cost you 1,000 points and a Sword of Might may cost you 10,000 points).
Leveling in the guild could earn you a certain amount of points as well, such as the Combat level would reward you gold and resources.
Of course this idea would need great refining; but it seems far more appealing and in-line with the idea that you have to really work for your bonuses. |

IMO, one of the fact that discourage ppl for doin PvP battles is that they r a "waste" of exp, since u want to raise ur Hunt, Merc, Laborers or another guild levels as quick as possible. In the other hand, PvP is the funniest thing to do in the game.
I think that will give a little break to those who really enjoy PvP, maybe the rewards for leveling up in the Fighters Guild wouldnt be as good as those for Hunter of Thieves Guild, but it will still be more than anything. Then, PvP wont be a "waste" anymore. |
this is a great idea cause i think that PvP battles are the true point of a game. And as it was said before - you are punished for fighting PvP. It would be nice to change this. PvP = fun :) |
all I can say is I fully support this idea, make PvP a lot more fun, and with ipslen's idea for a point system to buy items, it might make the economy more stable as well, and hopefully shut the complainers up, doubt it though... some people just like to complain...
but I like the idea:) |
