Author | Is it just me, or are Orcs really tough in group battles? |
They seem almost unkillable, and I don't particularly see why. Defense of 2, only 12 hp each, but I do more than double the damage when I hit wolf riders.
I was fighting them in a recent 2-on-2, I hadn't lost any stacks, opponents had lost ghosts once (and reanimated them) but hadn't lost any other stacks, but they were still crushing me. Even so, they were dishing huge damage but not taking much. It doesn't make any sense. It's like it's miscalculating bloodlust or something.
Anybody else notice this? And how do you stop it? | they are hard, though no good way to hit them. they have magic sheild and no melee penalty. just make sure the 1st hit that you gt is a good one =D | I juz notice that orcs stronger in melee ! i tried to use barb in other acc and range dmg is 50 - 90 while melee is 60 - 140 !! that time i was lvl 6 . but sure got killed by elven | no melee penalty so near range damage=melee damage.
usually, ranged attack is from far away >6 tiles so 50% damage only | They seem almost unkillable, and I don't particularly see why. Defense of 2, only 12 hp each, but I do more than double the damage when I hit wolf riders.
The more stack die on the battlefield, the more attack bonus they get.
1. Since there are more stack on the battlefield in a 3-3 battle than in a duel, the potential for bloodlust is much higher.
2. Shooters are generally dealt with later in battle, allowing Orcs to build up their bloodlust.
3. Orcs have no melee penalty. It means they deal the same damage in ranged and melee attacks (usual shooters deal half damage in melee.)
To check the current Bloodlust ability (along with various effects on the unit) CTRL-Click the orc stack twice.
Yes, Orcs are wonderful fighters ;) | ...it's a pity they are weak in defence. Also, their attack is not so strong. They have good initiative in exchange. Anyway, that's from an Elf point of view... | If so,
juz hit them 1st.
I dun noe wat it's like in lv 8 or higher
but I normally go for range unit 1st. |
