Authorexplanation of mercernary quests?
Hello
where can i find the explanation of the mercernary quests?
Because everyone told me you could start with them at level 5
So now I am level 5, and those monsters completely own me
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=472904880

look at that, i start in the middle of a map, and i can only split in 7 stacks, so how the hell am i supposed to defend my archers ... ????
try playing vanguards for now..
hm...
just tried a second mercernary mission
this one was a lot easier, just some grandmaster bowmen

Do you mean those "monster spawn in rounds" with vanguards ?
monster spawn in rounds are raids. Vanguards are quests in which you have to protect archers/farmers/shrews etc. from the atackers. Vanguards of wisards are the easiest :)
As an Elf you should be able to do:
- several levels of Wizard vanguards
- first few levels of DE Vanguards
- first few levels of Knight Vanguards
- first few levels of the Army quests - because you get at least three tries (Necro and Elf ones can be a bit challenging though)
- most of the low tier creature (and their upgrade) raids (maybe wait till you level up before trying the next level of the same creature)

These will be extremely challenging or you should probably avoid for now:
- necro vanguard
- higher tier creature raids
- monsters
- deliver package/brigands

There are also invader quests which I'm not sue if you'll be able to do at level 5 or not. I personally didn't do any of them nor have I come across more than a handful of level 5 elves who have successfully done completed them. I could be wrong about it because of my lack of info on it so maybe somebody else can tell you about that.

There's also a Russian website which was posted a while back. Here's the translated English version of it:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.witchhammer.ru%2Fviewpage.php%3Fpage_i d%3D9&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ru&tl=en
The translation probably will be a bit off but that should still give you useful info on the number/type of creatures you will face on each quest.

Hope that helps. :)
invader is a HUGE NO on level 5. though if u r a necro monsters could be done, quite easily if they r shooting monsters
so what should one do to avoid the hard ones, decline or just ignore it and walk away?

if we decline i think our rating with them falls
will a new quest be available if we just ignore it?
yes.

rep doesn't have much of an effect
I didn't start doing merc quests until I was lvl 7

Ive done 30 merc quests so far, I have only lost 1, It was the wolf raider monster quest, that one was hard.
yes doesnt answer much lol, cause i asked 2 questions.

i thought a high rep yielded a better reward
i thought a high rep yielded a better reward no

if we decline i think our rating with them falls yes, thopugh not as much as if u failed

will a new quest be available if we just ignore it? yes, in 20mins
so what should one do to avoid the hard ones, decline or just ignore it and walk away?

Just decline the harder ones. You can't just 'walk away'...you have to click accept or decline else the quest will still be there the next time you go to merc guild.

will a new quest be available if we just ignore it?

Yes it will be.

if we decline i think our rating with them falls

Your reputation will fall by 0.5 if it's above 0 when you decline. But then again if you accept the quest and lose the combat, your reputation will fall by 1. So I think declining is the better choice if you're sure you won't be able to beat the quest.
i have completed 6 quests and failed 3

and i could not undertsnad one thing - i was not able to beat bandir raid but i beated crossbowmen raid how can that happen ?
i was not able to beat bandir raid but i beated crossbowmen raid how can that happen

Bandits have no melee penalty while crossbowmen do. That's probably the reason you lost.
And all the monsters in thos mercernary quests are seen as my favoured enemy?
like a hunt, so if i choose rain of arrows, my hero shoots on every stack on the battlefield, r not?
15

In Vanguard and Army quests, only the chosen type is counted as favoured enemy, in some tougher cases, you might have to manually switch to the specific type of troops that gave you more trouble.

All enemy in Raids should be counted as favoured afaik.
raids count as neutral creatures cuz they have no hero. so yes, all favored enemy
So what do you suggest, keep it on luck+1 or change to rain of arrows ?
*btw, just completed the second raid :D against enchanted gargoyles
raids arent that hard :D
Luck+1 is defintely better than rain of arrows.
hm....

[QUOTE]Nowadays, roads are dangerous, and the merchants are seriously worried about the safety of their cargo. You will have to escort a caravan until 'Great Capital'. Start making your preparations now, the merchants need to arrive there in 120 minutes.[QUOTE]

is this a though one then? or an easy one?
its hard to see, because they barely give you any info, and there is no coloured dot that is saying how difficult it is
