Personally, I'm not a great fan, though I will still play. The first match was fair, second one I was lucky and pwned everyone, three and four I was teamed and eliminated first.
Any thoughts? What do you guys think about them? |
not bad .. as for me i'm like cursed - i either pwn everyone either die fisrt...at least 3 victories from 5 battles is not very bad) |
The idea is cool, but necromancers (at least at lvl 6) dominate most of battles. |
I dont like it.
Its just luck, if everybody will try to kill you, there are no chances.
I like duel tournament better, u use brain a lot more there |
kush well it depends on you , where u can use your brain)) |
I kind of like this. People can't complain about one faction dominating. In a dual, you can go in and once you see the faction you are up against, you might be already starting at a disadvantage. In this tournament if there is a dominant faction the others could team up against them and get them eliminated early. At first I thought it was a lot of luck, but now I think there is a lot of strategy involved. Of course you have the human element to deal with, but you can count on a person trying to make the best moves to win or to secure another point. |
Then people are simply dumb and dont realize, that a necro with 70 mana points must be attacked from beginning. |
Why do u complain bout necros so much?!
I'm a necro and when I fight an elf he kills all of my ghosts and most of my vamps before i reach his troops, we necros are slow and after first resurection we are very easy to kill.
Our ghosts are useless against druids or magis and if we manage to come close we become target practice for the darn elfish archers. |
cacafuego. Why are you try to go to elf army? You can sit in corner and shoot. And rise skellies. Just use right tactic )) Necros are dominated on some lvls. On 8 lvls dominate knights. |
@ Dead_Lord:
SAME!! yes i agree, im either teamed ant out first, or i win totally, 2 wins, 3 out first, 1 out second. |
Tourney would be 10x much better if everyone would follow simple rules:
1) DON'T ATTACK YOUR OWN FACTION, it's stupid because you both do much less damage (less skill in the end)
2) CHOOSE ONE ENEMY AND FIGHT, so it will be two duels basically, winners will sort out the rest |
Yes, last battle 3 just teamed me, I swear, if anyone can put up a number worse than 5/8 teamed out first, please give it. I think it is because I am a demon. As demon, Knights and elves have always attacked me, necros never do and wizards haven't so far. I've realized wearing a wind cape helps a lot with wizard picking another target. |
i found a little way to cheat the system if you're a demon, you can use gating to literaly make an arrow to point to someone to kill :P |
These tournaments are hopeless for elves because all team up to destroy bowmen and fk first and than it's game over. |
I think it's a concept I'm not going to play in.
Not because I don't like it, but because there is too much chance to "cheat" the system.
Friend 1 and 2 both enter at the same time, and if (more like when at higher levels) they join the same battle, they fight together and murder the other 2.
If this doesn't happen, then it's still a race to see who teams up on who.
Very few of the games I've watched actually had a "clean" fight where it was 1v1 on both sides, then the 2 winners of that duked it out. 90% of the battles is won by people teaming up on 1 faction. That 1 faction then decides the winner by attacking 1 of the 2 factions teaming up on him.
It's not my cup of tea. |
i agree with Dallandra...Everyone team up against elf :( |
I never knew it was supposed to be a double 1v1 battle. Gods, the Empire must be running out of space that they have to hold duels two at a time on a single arena. We should construct more coloseums! |
Hey, I never said others couldn't enjoy it. Just that it wasn't my cup of tea for above reasons. The entire "ganging up" system doesn't make me excited. The (albeit lame) possibility of meeting two friends who purposely team up against the others seals the deal for me.
I don't play "normal" ffa either.
So it's nothing against the tournament itself. I just don't really love the format itself. |
But still a tournament where all battles are 1v1 elimination type duels would be neat. Hard to pull off what with all the planning required but that would be really cool.... |
how would you judge 10 points after 5 battles for a level 4 (really 5) i want to know to see if i might have a chance at money or if i should just get to level 5 and attack a hunter stack. |
