| Depends on how you play, they have mayhem which is really good when it does activate, they also don't have melee penalty so a large stack of them are quite useful for damage. I would personally take them over a large stack of priests. |

Master Spearmen indeed are necessary. A huge stack of them deals a sizeable damage and they are good to soak initial damage.
Also they are quite good finishers. ) |
