What I see from the event is if the AI wants to screw you it will screw you. AI's morale of 1 keeps triggering while your higher luck and morale do not. Over the last year this game keeps getting designed more and more to screw over its already diminishing player base. All for donations I'm sure but this way it will soon wring the players dry.
It used to be that one could play an event with minimal arts and take the easy route, but this has not been the case anymore. With events getting harder and harder, even a blind man can see where this game is headed.

I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. See how many players are still donating for UCI. Even the ones who have been playing for several years donate often. And I remember people said the same thing when they had just started releasing donation arts that gave a slight edge in CG one parameter at a time. See where we are today with a full set of 9 donation arts and mostly everyone owns it instead of choosing to abandon the game. Of course, that is a biased view since I don't have statistics on how many players have quit in any defined time period but I can see this game running many many more years if it follows the same pattern. I hope it does too. It would be sad to see the game die.

harder events are more fun. it would be boring if everyone could breeze through them for max score on min ap. distinguishes good players from bad and forces "bad" players to step up and learn to improve their gameplay if they want to compete for top rewards. events like this in shop arts are my favorite becuase ffa is just big wallets throwing full enchanted dark heaven imperial sets at them to get place first. events like this anyone can do good because dono arts are easily rentable from depos etc
Admins probably took experience into consideration as well when deciding difficulty. Elf has always been the most popular faction therefor people will have plenty of experience on how to play with them. I don’t think it’s about getting donations. As others have said there needs to be a way to distinguish top performers from average Joes. After all this is a strategy based game and it would be no fun if everything was brainless :)
@slayerofall You didn't get max score on min AP, what on earth made you think that? You would end up near the bottom. One would play the easy route of an event to get the SP and such while settling for a low reward. It used to be that the hard difficulty would be a choice to play it, nowadays even the lowest choice has become hard and the used to be hard choice has become extreme.

@lord fallen I wasn't just speaking about this event, but practically for every event well over a year now. The difficulty keeps getting cranked up.

Also it isn't just the event, same thing going on for the daily dangerous bandit challenge. It used to be I saw a huge list which armies completed it, nowadays it's barely around 10 results. And the gold reward for the regular easy one has become under 400 gold and hardest a bit over 600 gold hasn't escaped my notice either, it used to be around 500 for easiest and around 800 for the hardest one. Even that one got shaved.

Has anyone even been able to get dragons in this event? I'm half way and trees only popped up around battle 30 orso.
yea i had 5 dragons at the end of my runs.

im just saying whats the point of events with ranking system if it were too easy? whats the point of having 10000 people with top result?

based on the difficulty of #1 fight vs #6 which i was doing number 1 could probably be done in min arts
There's quite a bit of outside pressure to do the most difficult battles, but you don't have to if they're not possible for your character.

Even the lowest difficulty battles gave a reasonable amount of gold.
I feel like starting at the hardest difficulty at the start and slowly decreasing your own difficulty is the way to go.

first 10 - 20 battles in difficulty 6 should not be to hard, and if it is slowly go down in difficulty.

I did first 30 battles in litterally min. ap gear, on difficulty 5-6. after that i slowly went to max AP and stayed between 4/5 without to many problems;
To be fair I did all battles in min ap and ended with 10-12 losses only, mostly due to poor play on my part more than anything else

But considering good gold, diamonds, LeG stacks, mg and hg points, elf fsp (for which i dont have a castle),waayy more than happy with the event

And no, I dont think all #6 were “easily” doable even with donation arts and using the best strat I could think of, it needed a decent grasp of the elven ways and ofcourse a bit of rng to help along the way is always good

There are no good or bad players in the game. It all depends on what the person is looking for. You may play to compete for the top, but doesn't mean everyone does that. Another player might play just for fun or just look to complete the event or not take this game as seriously as you do, doesn't mean he's a bad player.

thats fine if they want to play casual. But litterally every event the forums on com and .ru are filled with people complaining about event difficulty. its really annoying. you play cg, plenty of bad players there too. game is filled with people who play hunts mg tg which are complete brain off game modes and then they translate that playstyle to events/pvp and complain when they actually have to use tbat thing in between their ears. it has finally annoyed me to the point of saying something.

You can always choose to ignore it bro. Forum isn't that big a deal to ignore if all you find is negativity there. You're doing good in events, CGs and overall character development, continue doing that.

There are 80% players like that and 20% players who play events seriously, who all would even take your outbursts seriously? You're wasting your time and energy by bashing people here on forums tbh. You cannot expect everyone to do well everytime or do something the way you'd want it to be done or do it the way you did it, not everyone is the same.
After 61 victories the reward in gold for all choices gets upped by a factor of 2.5. So last 11 battles are worth it to play in full AP.
Did the first 55 battles in minimal AP afterwards one needs too many luck or morale to get a win so I went full AP.

Added army strength: 1,523

Also this game relies too much on luck and morale for there to be "good" or "bad" players. Nobody is unbeatable in this game. If the AI wants to whoop you it will whoop you, even a seemingly easy looking battle can hand you your behind when your +5 morale and luck +4 does not trigger while AI's morale of just 1 keeps triggering 3-4 times in just the first round and then your high morale and luck triggers on your lowered to a handful of stacks.
Could someone share a link how castle attack at lvl ca 66 look like? Got so far but never did castle attack yet.

Thanks, so did you avoid castle attacks later on? Are they harder generally? I am especially worried about fate of shooters vs tower.

later on castle battles were the easy ones, hunts simply became impossible. towers dont do any damage with shield+cloak and if you have over 200 dryads they shoot them but if you have like 10 trees you can heal like 150 dryads when you use thier ability, basically nullifying like 3-4 rounds of towers and enemy shooters shooting them
I think castle towers got significantly nerfed at some point, but I can't remember exactly when it happened. Maybe day 3 or 4. I'm level 9 and before the nerf towers had 100-150 damage and ~20 attack. After, their damage was lowered to 20-40 and ~5 attack. I'm only level 9 though.
