Same here. This one is extremely tough...
Armaments are random. I got 3 for scorpions, 5 for dune raiders, and 1 for jackals.
Seems ok so far, done all battles for first 2 days in min allowed AP (grace set mostly) and only had to repeat 3 due to losses first time around.

Gone for might all the way, mostly full attack, though switched to full def in a hunt versus dune assassins due to adapt ability.

Had fully upgraded and recruited for first 3 tiers, then bough buildings up to elephants. Recruiting them and upgrading them as a priority today.

Is there a way to find out what all the specialties are? It took me some bitter lesson to guess-understand what "eater of light" and "eater of darkness" mean.

There have been some changes:
Fixed bugs with the abilities of Deserters and Guardians of the Oases.
All battles have been rebalanced; difficulty has been significantly reduced in most battles .

Event recommendations:
Do not neglect the extraction of silver and artifacts. Earn glory points if you already have enough silver to buy units. The calculations are such that to win battles in the main plot, you need to defeat at least the same difficulty level in battles for artifacts and silver.

damn, event is easy now. seems to look like they removed the bug giving extra stat points too
I jinxed it lol. 60 genies doing 700+ damage. Ugh
For those newly joining or struggling this is my advice, based on min AP, so should be easier if you use best arts.

Silver is usually the resource you are lowest on and must be regulated carefully.

maxing recruitment in those you already have stacks in is more beneficial than opening up to have other stacks.

Max out first 3 stacks on upgraded. Your first 24 or so battles will only give armaments to these creatures. Given that these can give +15 attack, and defence and 24% ini, they massively upgrade these creatures. Using them is a must. Then get to elephants and max recruit upgraded on them, then the same on top tier, then camel riders, not sure if I will ever use the priestesses.

Sinc eyou can get to a higher silver level than main combat level, per day you should find the normal combats easier than the higher level separate battles. So often you can do those first to get a bit more silver, and consequently more creatures, to make the Side battles easier. You can sort of guess which armament creature you may face from what armaments you have already. You will need a different tactic for dune assassins, due to adapt ability. Hitting them with your hero will reduce their defence a chunk, but magic buffs are useful to begin with, as such a defensive build is the way to go for these Upgraded elephants help a lot with these Generally do not take retal, you want a big hit with your main damage dealers first before adapt increases their defence. All others you need offensive based around dune assassins.

The resurrection ability works even if there is only a stack of one, making them good retal takers since you get two of them. Do remember however that they will come back, and therefore this may block another stack from hitting your target, plan ahead.

In robber type battles check out the towers before you settle troops, make sure you can take them down effectively, for these I often fully split dune assassins rather than anything else.

Do glory points last, seem to need these a lot less in the early game, but the WGpoints are a good bonus.

the admins conned us by asking us not to upgrade buildings till today lol
