| yeah royal griffins are quite good to kill a stack of shooters in 1 attack (if they deal max damage) but they don't give much increase in army strength |

What is interesting is that the army of the top player visually seems a lot weaker - implying he has lots of other creatures he doesn;t recruit. If so and you and others start doing the same tactic you are likely to be able to recruit more than he can (stronger base army of use at the moment so can gain new ones at a higher rate) and then overhaul him.
I wish you well in it, though on a practical level I guess it doesn;t matter too much if 1st or 5th 0 you will get the same art dura etc, still would be nice if you can get it :) |

Yeah I more or less started that today halfway... I now have 150 ogres who won't see the battlefield in this event :p I also have 250 zerks in reserve, those I might actually use in some battles, they were not bad before I switched them to clerics.

Okie guys important question, which troops are the most expensive to upgrade silver wise?
Probably clerics but I already have some of them, so it'll be hard for me to find many of them again. |

| I got 192 brawlers, and after upgrading for 25-26k I got about 800 more strength. So 800 minus 25-26k silver's strength. |
I am liking this event for farming. Got myself a decent enough army, now purely looking for armies low in ranged which I can dominate which have any creature in it that is not locked up (they give 50% more FSP) and since you get to recruit more of them you build your army comparatively faster I think. Easy HG points and soon elixirs I hope. Nice to have an event that rewards guilds as well.

Yesterday I started and remained at 6k army strength, I farmed silver to be able to upgrade bowmen to wardens today, which was very costly for 534 units. It immediately added over 3k army strength. According to my calculations it was 5,76 points per unit. They were worth it but are slow as hell.
Barely made it over 10k today and snatched 1 hunterguild point in my last battle. Maybe I'll get a potion or two tomorrow. I'm currently at:

| 534 wardens is a lot! Do battles tomorrow which have a large stack or two of enemy shooters, your wardens will shine in those battles. For example necro with a lot of liches, or barb with a lot of cyclops, etc. |

All done now, and a nice event in my opinion
Battles did not take too long so were manageable without real life take over
Cost effective - did 80% in min allowed arts (did some with a few better in the middle as had cash flow problem and couldn;t buy the cheap ones, most of which were out of stock anyway)
HG points is nice for an event
In the battle where I gained elixirs (granted only 13) then the gold reward and resell of elixirs will give profit on those battles
some 220 FSP for sub faction(deliberately went for the battles which yield more FSP at the end ie troops not in a cage which got me an extra 20FSP or so)
Hopefully while not troubling people too much at the top, the art will be pretty reasonable in dura and so resell value if I want to.
