Deviation in 1st turn is 10% of ini, so to be sure to move before a 10 ini unit, you'd need to have 11 ini at least, and to move before 20 ini unit, you'd need to have 22 ini. | Or, more exactly, deviation ranges from -5% to +5%, so 11 isn't enough strictly speaking (10 can start as if 10.5 and 11 as 10.45). | hey guys, i am a lev 5 barb with hobs/archers/warlocks.
can anyone plz help me with some general strategies or talents or recruiting or even faction class which would be good for pvp 2vs2 or 3vs3? i usually get crushed by demons so plz help me on that too.

I never see anyone using them, and from the times I've tried them in hunts, etc. they just didn't seem too powerful. I suppose this is partially just because I am level 10, because I think they hit a good power spike at level 12 with Trophy-Hunters.
I recently tried my first real group battle with them, and we managed to win what I thought was going to be a loss, with the way things were going at the start:

So, what do you guys think? Do you feel that the Fury class is a bit too weak to be used often right now, or do you think it is well-balanced? It is definitely a different play style, it takes a while for your troops to get going since they really need to build up some spirit before doing well. | Fury barbs are supposed to be used on PvP battles.
Normal barb has a natural advantage on PvE, his racial, also his settle is pretty good for that job too, I really don't think fury nor shadow could take their place on PvE that easily. (perhaps units that you've to block and kill with your range units, or hunt assist some one with debuffs, but in general no.)
If they're strong or weak, I really don't know.
But I've done a personal math about total hp, initiative, dmg, attack, talents cost, damage resistance cuz racial, bonues from racial etc. With tribal level 1 - 2 they could be better than normal barb, but if your enemy kill your units on very beginning of the battle, well... No time to farm spirit right?
I still think fury barb needs some boost, but right now, theoretically they're playable.
Overall, their units are pretty good for PvP role too, as their cheap cost for talents and racial that gives some advantage. (come on, combat readness is pretty much useless in PvP, and I do know play with barbs and I know some times you could farm a pretty decent amount of extra attack with them.) |
