Well got my army sorted up to 40k silver wins now, just it takes so long, both the battles and finding a suitable opponent.

I skip necros if they have ghosts.
I skip wiz and elf almost always. Or don't skip and lose. Losing is better than skipping since I've noticed that losing --> double skip in easier direction. Without wasting a skip.
I hate succubi/mistresses. I have no response to return fire.
Gremlin wreckers are a lot of trouble, since they can one shot 125 ladons, but they're fun to play against. I've found ways to game their AI atleast somewhat.
Poisoners are gg. Anything more than 4k is gg. |
I skip much more than I fight, mostly tribals and barbarians are fine, demons can be ok as usually not much meat. Wizards are almost always skipped. Elves are ok if lots of trees and not so many quick troops, though usually skipped. Dwarf depends really.

Will you have something to spend the silver on? That's the major trouble I'm facing
I have a 800k upgrade left, but I need to average 45k silver for the remaining battles.
Not impossible, but if I get unlucky, I'll be left with 800k unspent silver or so. |
| Is warden worth the price? There's a huge gap btw warden and xbowmen, in my situation it's almost 300k silver |

| The troop difference is obvious. You gotta ask yourself if you wanna spend 10+ more battles getting that silver or upgrade them now so you can start working with harder battles. Though, the long term suffers because of upgrading the cheap troops |
| I have about 1.4kk of upgradeable troops, so no problem of not being able to spend it :) LEss efficient, but less stressful than being forced to beat 45k silver battles |
You can get crossbows+clerics for cheaper than wardens.
You can get more than double bows, and upgrade them, for cheaper than wardens.
So get wardens only as a place to dump silver, not for the power. |
I meant army strength rather than power - ie major silver converter.
I deliberately skipped some earlier battles where I Could have got more bowmen, to avoid any sticky situation where I could not get enough silver. |
