Its not onl about the setup its about equip too: I suggest for lvl7 Thiefs:
1. chain helmet
2. 2x Ring of inspiration
3. amulet of luck
4. Sword of might
5. Dragon shield
6. Stell cuirass
7. Stell boots
The cost is 700 per fight - even without bow/cape
stats
+6 attack, +15 defense, +3 morale, +1 luck
It will be good for fast making 20-30 points, but if time is not big concern an optimal set would be:
equil. sword
defender shield
bravery medal
Steel cuirass
Steel boots
Steel Helmet
+2 attack +17 def, +2 morale, +2% ini, 358gold per fight |
U must have stunning blow, that is the only way to kill the FKS and the Bowmen first, unless u die .. coz ur Ogres go too slow .. and ur shooters lack of arrows .. but be careful with the double shots, lucks and the lack of defence-wolf riders.
If the Elves have sprites, be careful .. coz they can kill u faster, with their inits, speed and lucks.
Try to separate orcs into 4 stacks ^^ they will die last longer ^^ |
At level 5, it sounds strange, but you have the missile advantage. Your orcs shoot first nearly always. The damage you do to the bowmen will mean if you exchange fire, their bowmen will fall before your last orc does.
As a barbarian this sounds wrong, but be patient, make them come to you. |

| Hey. Im lvl 5 barb.How can i beat swords monster whos got 2016 hp? What talents shut i use? Maybe troops settlement? |
Barbar is not very good for hunting monsters, because he is not able lower attack or defense of this monster. Only stun and knockback can work. So, if you are not able kill any monster, wait for next level. I think, that lvl 5 is very low for most of mercenary quests.
About recruiting. I used max hobgoblins, max orcs and rest of ogres and it works very good for most of situations. |

| I would generally advise you to do quests at lvl 6 and not at lvl5. its a waste of time at 5 and 6 its easy going! |
| Does anybody know how retribution talent works? Does it gives 5% bonus for every moral point (3 moral=15% bonus damage)? |

| I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Battle Fury is the most important talent for a barbarian. 50% increase in hob damage. approx 40% increase for wolf raiders, approx 30% increase for orcs. |
