Author | [New event] Great experiment aka Mirror event |
thanks for the info, shame the very top didn;t get a touch better, though means I feel less annoyed about missing the top 100. Next time I will remember never to try a magic build! | Now that the rewards are out, considering money lost on arts, money given by the even and the cost of the art...was the event profitable? | Depends on your score | For me easily so, though in part it depends on how you compare it.
For raw costs I fought 105 battles in full gear and gained 102900 gold, as such this is a loss of the order of 60-80k, though not sure precisely and cannot be bothered to work out.
However, the resell value of my mirror will likely be more than this so profitable overall.
It is important to note that this is a comparison to not doing the event or indeed not doing any battles, which is not really a valid comparison.
So instead if you compare to the equivalent guild this would be in, which is CG since you earned CG points.
In this regard the cost per battle would be the same, since I used the same arts. In these battles my win rate was 93% with 0.5 reward so 0.465 CG points per battle
at CG I may get about 85% in duels and 70% in groups, which is somewhere in the range of 0.85 to 1 cg point per battle.
As such from that perspective the gold reward saves me the equivalent cost I would have incurred gaining the same CG points in battle (since you get no gold for CG). This makes the mirror pure profit, so even better. | Sold my mirror for 260k :) | for Lord MilesTeg:

Thanks for the info mate! :)
I didn't want to do this event because it was very time consuming and the cost was quite high as well. But now I see that the rewards are worth it so I will do the next one.
