I'm an elf and always fell when there are too many leapers (2 or 3 large groups of them).
My cannons: Dur 8 damage 14; Dur 8 damage 9.
Any advice on how to deal with too many leaping pirates? |

You can try using alt elf with Innate swiftness. Max Forest brethren and dryads. Defend trees when your other troops die and shoot with canons.
Worked for me. |
I am dead when there is not fatso.
leapers + women pirates are deadly.
women pirates block my cannon on turn 1.
when I try to get rid of her, next the leapers can jump and kill my unit
in addition enemy cannon and bucaners bombard me

| Did anyone upgrade to ship lvl 7 yet? It seems that tactics change a bit for each cannon you add. Nice feature I think. |

What I did as a wiz was to upgrade just the durability of my cannons .
Coz I hardly get to shoot and they give more time for gargs and the hero to do the work :P |
