I think many players would be dissapointed if the merge didn't happen at all (and the server would keep the same inactivity) and not that much players would be dissapointed if it happened...
My personal opinion is to give the admins a chance to merge us with .ru (of course I have some ideas how the merge should look like but we all have, I guess - but I am not afraid to let admins to make it by their own). If this server stayed in the same situation like it is now, I think in few years the server would really die - even those who now complain about the possibility of the merge, would be bored of doing the same things here. Many players probably already quited this game because of it. At least for me the merge is the only hope for making the game interesting again because my hope that admins will simply let .com be and will start caring for it properly, died a long time ago... They probably had a reason for neglecting this server (maybe some financial reason or something like that - maybe they didn't earn enough money from this sever 'whoever' mistake it was...) and now they decided to make a step forward and give us a chance to have more fun with this game while for them it could be good step to earn more money.
I believe they won't ruin the game with the merge - once they decided for the merge, it should be in their interest to do their best... According to this I believe there won't be any language barrier after the merge so why should we be afraid of that? Do you really think they would let us play in russian language? The only problem could be to co-operate with the non-english speakers (the most of russian players I guess) but who knows? Maybe we won't have to have the common battles with them and our servers will be something like two paralel game worlds only with common events... I believe it would be great solution for those who are so much afraid of exp/fsp imbalance.

hey Pan, i dont understand your problem buddy. you are a TG player even after merge you can ambush caravan and win/lose as usual.
only CG players, hunters and PvP guys are going to face much problem.... and i dont see them complaining here :P |
What if they installed a translater in the game for English - Russian?
So for exameple when you are in a battle with Russian players that you can choose to make you're english sentence automitic Russian for those who'd want that.
Like a switch you can turn on and off?
That should not be a problem to install such a thing..
If a Russian fellow starts to talk in Russian you just push a button (or he himself) and you get the same sentence in decent English?

Google translate is a non profitable translater.
They on .ru get money from us, the players.
I'm sure they can 'perfect' something like google translater if they'd only spent like a little money on it.
Once installed, it would attract more European players and non European players because there wouldn't be a language barrier. |

I'm not TG player by choice. Like I previously said this has been zombie server. Even waiting for caravan takes up to 2 hours.
People are just being unrealistic thinking that the merge would be an actual merge and they would keep their estates, arts, free fsp, english forum, english interface, heck even translation in battle with russians, even keeping our lands on russian server, keeping hunt and tourny achievements, etc. etc.
If people want to dream, that's what I&S is for.
I&S even entertain free gold and TGI topics too!
My problem with the merge is that nothing would be different than me starting a new account on ru last year when the rumors started about the merge. I haven't created an account on ru the last 4+ years, so why start now?

The decision is made(by those who can), learn to live with it, enjoy the last month and after that, adapt or quit.
There is no point in trying to set up debates for not to merge with .ru.
There is no way out of it, it wil happen, and I'm pretty sure you can't bribe the creators for leaving the .com alive.

People are not unrealistic, there hoping. This is humans nature, the creators give us their hand but we want their arm. We will never be satisfied with anything we get.

My stand is same as Pantheon in this case. Well, I don't see much people supportive of not having a merge, but I am pretty sure most of you will regret it later. |
