Not necessarily. In this battle, my wizard opponent had his heros turn first, plus he had advanced sorcery, so managed to jump in front of my hero again later on.. And I still won.

Both your magi die first round before they could even do something. So that was totally missing my point.
And I play level 9 not 10. I do not have Fireball. |
Is anyone level 7 still playing this tournament? I keep registering but can't get a fight to start. Is everyone already done with their 20 battles?

Oh my apology, I was under the impression that by mages you meant the hero, (Funny how that can happen! O_o ), not magis. In most cases, yeah magis do alright for a match when they go first. |

Yes. It is my last chance of a prize-winning place.
But I fine understand Alyna., if she will play with me, can miss the 1 place. Anybody would not begin to risk.
I can not guarantee the victory in such duel, but I hope for our meeting, this battle is interesting not only me, but also many players of our small empire. |

same as for blindfold. if there are 3 players with 20 points and you have 19 (as u do, if i am right), you are the second place, and you get the second place reward.
as for tourney, this is my comment:

Today was my first chance to play this week. So far I am 1 for 1. Knight vs. Knight. Was an interesting battle. Morale vs defense. Defense won.

If there are 3, 5, 7 etc. participants, and you joined the last, you just end up without a pair |

i think that the elves are the best faction for duels on 12th level, and demon is 2nd best. maybe i'm wrong.. results will show |
played 3 battles, but its super boring if you ask me.
99,5% of the time you already know who is going to win before the battle starts.
Its just rock paper scissors.
Victory depends for 65% on the faction you play, 25% on the artifacts and talents you have and ~10% (if not less) on the strategy you use in the battle
Its good to farm some fsp, losing 10 battles gives a really good exp/fsp ratio, but other than that... I fail to see the "fun" |
