AuthorUkraine best skill guild or best cheater guild?
Correct is anything inside the game design mechanics.

This immediately assumes they were doing it within the game mechanics, which can/cannot be true depending on which narrative you believe in.

Whatever happened, this statement This is false in general and let’s not divert the topic from “How they cheated/exploited bug” to “Is it correct to cheat/exploit bugs”
Ukraine players just happen to wear enchanted sets to play MG quest, and also coincidentally find out that of all MG quests,

See what Murali said above, it may have been a chance discovery.

Some person identified higher level monsters (40+) started giving higher reward most probably during mg day.Info was shared to some closed group of people who then tested its limits and found jackpot

And when they came to know that it was feasible to use rare sets and get profit, they went for it.
Not everyone who has been penalised is a proved cheater. Guys like Venom and few others are really smart tacticians and good in game. I am saying this because till now, there's no proof of external tampering. If they tampered anything then few deserve ban as well.
If that's not the case, the only mistake they made was not reporting something unusual.
Regardless of chance discovery or not, please do not try to justify millions of gold being a reward for a mercenary guild quest when admins are stingy enough to award low golds every event.

If it was a chance discovery, and you reported it immediately or let the public know, I am sure many of us would be ok to let u keep the million gold reward.

However, these people obviously intended to have all the riches for themselves and attempted to conceal their gold rewards (hiding gold in clans, estates, spending it all on items and elements)

The offense isn't in finding the bug, it is in abusing the exploit as much as possible, unwillingness to share their findings and cause as much damage as possible to the market
- buying up thousands of elements leading to elements increasing in price.
- buying and renovating estates

Also I see why some players are defending them on here and in russian forums, apparently there is a clan mailing done in Ukraine and on Skype telling players to show support and argue with others on the forums
unwillingness to share their findings
I see no offense here. It's completely upto a person if they want to share their findings.
cause as much damage as possible to the market
I see no point of doing that. Element market broke for few hours because they tried to buy as much as possible.

If there's no external tampering, they don't deserve any extra penalty imo. Just take what they earned. Take back MG points and experience. Restore the dura of arts used. But restoring everything to this pre-monster massacre will be very tough.

I have no idea about it. And in case you think I'm defending them, then you're wrong.
No one will agree to have the offenders to keep the looted good so don't worry about it.

I'm not sure about chat but I don't see such mails. I fell people who are enraged by the offense committed by few players slowly diverted their anger towards clan and some clan people got involved in the discussion.

Anyway, few things that are clear so far are
* Exploiting bugs is against the rules. Always has been however as it's not mentioned exactly what's acceptable so different people have different interpretations.
* Admins confirmed that it's a bug (ofcourse after it was made public)
* Admins working towards some kind of fix and punishment. MG monster magic resistance now increase with difficulty and most of the looted gold has been deducted, we see negative balance because some people used up the gold looted.
Before when those MG monsters would only level up one level at a time but some people like these that abused it that time by racking up tons of MG points by only doing those, the admins decided to change it that the monsters levels would go up by 4 each time instead of one. And now looks like they are going to change it so that the monsters resistances will increase more.

So in short, just like before, the rest that play it fair will be left with the repercussions caused by those that do not. The rest will get to deal with the permanent disadvantages while the abusers get to keep their MG points, their parameters and all the bought up loot and whatnot gained from the abuse. Only in this game the rest gets punished for the abuse of others. This isn't the first time and won't be the last time.
The some kind of punishment will be just gold, but of course way less than the gold they have been able to gain from the abuse. So basically the admins will do a whole charade to make it seem they dealt with it harshly.
I fell people who are enraged by the offense committed by few players slowly diverted their anger towards clan and some clan people got involved in the discussion.
Agree. That's exactly what's happening here. Just look at the topic header.

They should take back MG points and return experience too.
@Botmun They did't take back anything the last time or the times before. It has always been a gold fine.

It's tricky. Many people equates xxxPainxxx with Ukraine. Anger is directed towards cheaters and not 90% of the Ukraine clan.

I observed similar resentment toward AnyKey clan. They betrayed some aliance 6 years ago. Nobody from that time is still in the clan yet i get: you did this and that. Sometimes i even get this from Ukraine members. They simply turn a blind eye to the fact that one of the leaders of AnyKey at that time was: xxxPainxxx. Funny eh? :)

To everyone, your anger can go to cheaters, individuals. Not to clan. Average Murali, Ninjagomaster or Lord Ragnaros has nothing to do with cheaters. Sins of clan leaders are not transfered to clan members. Why should it?
Ukraine do have very good players, but they also have very good cheaters (also very rich!). This thread is about the cheaters so all the frustrations and rants are obviously directed at them. That’s true at least for my part, I also believe no one is stupid enough to think all 150 members are cheaters.
well we would have named this thread day of cheater, but someone with not so good semse of humor beat us.
Agree. That's exactly what's happening here. Just look at the topic header.
Well, for starters that's probably the only clan whose players are caught again and again for exploiting bugs and using automated scripts (mostly, not all). So you'd somehow associate cheating with the clan itself, but that's not good too. There are many players with strong accounts who did everything on their own and are not using bugs to become strong or rich.
If there's no external tampering, they don't deserve any extra penalty imo. Just take what they earned. Take back MG points and experience
It is a given rule that exploiting bugs for personal gain and not reporting is against the rules, so why shouldn't there be any extra penalty? But knowing how admins never take strict actions against big donors, nothing significant is going to happen.

The admins would need to prove that the intent was on exploiting the bug. The accused can always claim they didn't know it was a bug, or that they genuinely thought the reward was that big in purpose for beating level > 100 bosses.

Between being admin's fault for the bugs, and the claim of innocence of the accused, the most admins can do is take back exactly what was obtained through the bug. Easy come easy go.

Responsibility for the bugs stays with the administration.
genuinely thought the reward was that big in purpose for beating level > 100 bosses.
Are you serious? You are an old player. You either joke or defwnd cheating. I could belive if those were fresh players with no history of cheating but now no way.
for mellor:
It is not what I believe, it is what the accused can claim. It is not what makes sense to me, it is not about me. Obviously it is out of proportion when regular MG yields less than 1,000 gold and all of a sudden it jumps to 1,000,000 gold. Of course, all points to a bug, but can admin prove the accused *knew* it was a bug, and the intent was on exploiting it?
The accused can always play stupid and claim naivity... that is not illegal.

Admins can not prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the intent of the accused was to exploit a bug, unless they have their written communication in which they claim so, thus proving knowledge of the bug, and intent of exploiting it.

Without that they do not have a legal case.
Admins can not prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the intent of the accused was to exploit a bug Well, given the combat log of the players of only one specific clans, and mostly of those that are in the management says something else. You can claim it was a common intention after one person found the bug and the others hopped in to reap the benefits. But again, Responsibility for the bugs stays with the administration. And, The accused can always play stupid and claim naivity
Agree with Navi here. Cheaters can always make an excuse. They can always act like they thought the rewards were actually 1kk for killing a monster with 550 attack and defence with 12 speed and 200k HP. It may look. Again, I'm not in support of the people who are guilty just putting forward my PoVs.

Liar, just yesterday you said Pain is your idol and you'd like to get rich too by exploiting bugs >.<

I'll see you in court now. You will be in serious trouble. -_-
The admins don't need a "legal case" lmao. It's their game, they decide if it was exploiting or not and can punish players however they see fit.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
