Level 30 with a personal max gain of 25 points more liches today and they're fun to play with

Need to intentionally lose battles to get good troops.
Pretty dumb but I don't want zombies or skeletons |
for kchong: Yeah agreed, best case is getting good troops at option 5/6. All the options going forward will have different points now and getting bigger in difference |
The only competitive choice is max difficulty, due to the low penalty for losing and the high cost of not playing max difficulty. I'll have to read the next event post very carefully if I want a chance to place decently high P: |
I keep getting skeletons and zombies lmaoo. So sick of losing
I need some vamps or ghosts :( |

Alternatively, you find a build that uses zombies and skeles well.
I have basically no vamps, so that's what I'm doing.

If/when you get dragons, which one are you guys thinking of using? |
Shadow dragons in the beginning, to make use of Demoralizing Aura.
May switch later on. |
hi all!
can I get some expert advice on following battle?

I think i did my best, should I increase SP? or should have cursed monks in above? what should i improve upon.
Thanks! :D |

I hate that I have to go for the easier options solely because they give troops that I want :( |
For Arch lair:
I played a similar battle (But with holy Knight enemy)

But as for strategy, I don't think you did anything wrong (Apart from letting the monks get the first hit on your skele). If anything, you should focus on monks after blocking the crossbows (Because monks have no melee penalty). Also maybe try with better arts? Like Rings of Cold? |
for Arch lair:
Curse could help there too mby? |
@109
i would say you rushed too much, after delay and curse on shooters, maybe confusion dont know if you have at your level.
i think it would have gone better if you hanged back and delt with guards before moving forward for monks and bows |
for Arch lair:
In fights like this, try the following strategy:
1. Cast mass delay on all the big enemy stacks.
2. Focus on 1 enemy stack at a time. SO stay away from the shooters and focus on the birds. BY the time you finish birds, guards will be at you, so kill them next.
3. You can go for the shooters, or cast confusion and wait for them to finish shooting and come for you. Monks have less shots, so they will come for you while cross will keep on shooting.
This will give you enough time to raise your dead troops or cast enough dark spells on the monks. |
Just switched to the mage build. And gee, this battle probably took an hour. Fortunately, the meat is slow minotaurs. Not sure how to play a mage against a fast meat like genies or forest brethren. Any advice?

this is getting hard now :p
any specific troop to prioritise? vamps? |
Yeah I'm getting a bit pounded. Going to keep trying max difficulty, but the second to max is also looking good. Kinda close to winning 34 on max difficulty, but not really... |
sometimes in hut icon match, i get enemy tower and sometimes i don't. any way to be certain if towers will be there or not? |
Nope, same issue here, gambled on getting an easy robbers fight then 3/4 towers with no ranged penalty pop up. If they tell us what enemies we're facing and their positions before settling why not indicate towers too? Or is that too much of a handicap already |
Wonder how much ground everyone gained or lost after that one, definitely a tough bunch of fights. |
