I always get stuck early into an event. First two battles I was mostly offense. Tried full defense. Can't seem to get around these guys.

You would need more troops, try caraven to get more silver and recruit more troops. |
Do hunt last. Hunt improves troops, but you don't even have any.
The castles have been the easiest by a big margin.
Just 3 tengu is all the enemy has, just waiting to be hit by mass decay.
Also, the empowred sp is so good. I go from 40 sp to 87 sp at night. Mass decay doing 400 damage RIP. |

It's the Night and Day ability. You get Better light/holy spells in the day and better dark spells at night. Every time your hero acts it alternates whether it is night or day. |

i think i mentioned earlier. the empowered spells alternate between holy and dark
so cast empowered mass rapid and then next turn it would be a dark spell that empowered |

Yeah, there are 2 steps. First step is to unlock troops and 2nd step is for recruiting troops. As part of first part, creatures need to be unlocked from lower tire to higher tire one after another.
Ex: We cannot unlock T7 right away, need to unlock T1 to T6 troops first. |
